The item came without the cellophane wrapped around the box. It does not smell at all like the original fragrance. I still have a little left in my other bottle I got from a department store and they are not at all similar. Unfortunately I cannot return it.

I received a sample of this cologne a little over a month ago and have been using it off and on for several weeks. First of all, this product is of utmost quality. A true cologne made with quality ingredients that will not fade after a few hours like many others I have had lately.The aroma at first is a bit intense, there are a lot of top notes. The most noticed (for me) was the bergamot. The middle notes are more floral and contains the neroli it is named for. The top and middle notes are short lasting, perhaps 30 minutes to an hour, though hints of them pop up over the course of the whole day as it interacts with your body chemistry.The base notes are beeswax, cedar and a lot of white musk. The musk specifically is the longest lasting of all the notes in this fragrance. I put a small short spritz on the back of my neck and it will still be going strong 10 hours later. It is a very long lasting cologne, I often catch hints of it yet as I'm going to bed at night. Many of the notes come and go through the day, but the musk will be with you all the way through. For me at least, it really combined with my own body chemistry to make me smell better rather than completely masking my own scent. As always, you should try a fragrance before you buy and see how it combines with your own sweat and oils. Some people can really clash with a fragrance when it soaks into the skin.According to Diptique, this is a unisex fragrance, but I would be hard pressed to imagine something with this much musk in the base notes being attractive on a woman. On the other hand, my sometimes significant other becomes nearly entranced and ravenous for my attention when she catches a whiff of this from me. Interestingly enough, she prefers how I smell at the end of the day as opposed to the beginning. To each their own.

Smells so good but scent doesn't last on the skin. I then sprayed it on bed linen and the smell was again gone the same day.

I have been wearing this scent for 2 years or so and love it. This will be my first time purchasing it on Amazon, however. I was amused to see that the other reviews were from men using this as a cologne, only because it reaffirms the gorgeous complexity of this scent making it a tue unisex perfume. I hate sweet and overly floral perfumes. In the past my favorites were Chanel N°19, Manifesto by Isabella Rossellini and D&G Light Blue. The scent is sophisticated, clean, sexy, and I am complimented all the time.

Purchased this scent recently at a local department store which sells this exclusively. I love the scent...fresh, not overbearing at all, but am not sure about its longevity on the skin. I like it so much that I spray a bit on my neck after showering and getting ready for bed. I alternate it with my other favorite--Annick Goutal for men.

I got a sample of Diptyque neroli at Nordstom today......and the scent base note on my wrist persists......I will buy this.
