Generic MX3477A MX 3 Socket Universal Adaptor 3 Pin, 5 Ampere with Rotatable Sockets and Individual Switch, 3477A, Color May Vary

Though power strips are available aplenty at this price, my use case was different with my TV unit not being able to accommodate the former. Hence, I went in for this adaptor.Pros:+ Fuse protection+ Individual switches for all sockets+ Build quality is decent+ Sockets rotate, but only by about 160 degree. Please take note of this, which is also shown in the product picture.Cons:- Expensive. At the price, one could easily get a good power strip- The socket in the middle tonks out after a month's usage- Poor design and assembly (see the attached pictures of the inside for proof)Note: Other users have complained of the adaptor going kaput in a week's usage. Since I have been using only since yesterday, I'll update this review shortly, either way, to inform if this is indeed the case.I tried to purchase this in a physical store (to avoid delivery charges), but it didn't seem to be available anywhere. I was about to buy from the cheapest seller and backed out after noticing the highly negative ratings. I'd recommend customers to be careful about this and check 'x offers from' (choose the right seller) before jumping to buy.-- Update --After a month of usage, the socket in the middle went kaput. There goes the return policy as well! This is a badly done product. I have learnt the hard way, as others who have complained about the same have. May the buyer beware. Adjusting the rating to what it should reflect.-- Update (28 Feb 2017) --I called MX's customer care in Bombay and asked this can be repaired in anyway. The guy checked with the technician and said, since the sockets have "gears", this cannot be fixed! On asking why MX has not fixed the issue despite so many negative reviews, the Support person was just silent. I prodded him to pass feedback to the team responsible, but am sure it fell on deaf ears.Folks, please do not buy this product.

Clever idea but looks a bit poorly made. Could have been more robust in construction. Design is quite creative and if you can overlook the construction quality then you should be fine.UPDATE - 31st DEC 2015The Socket started to Malfunction.The switches dont stop electrical flow even when in OFF position.Clearly not a good thing and surprising that this happens in less than a 10 days of buying this product.Will send it back.

Very good design as it avoids the mess of extension wires yet gives you more sockets to use. But only if the product had a better usablility! After using for couple of months, the switches stopped working. The socket always has power irrespective of switch being on/off. A month more of usage and a heard a snap and the product is dead. I did get this at around Rs400 a year ago, it still turned to be waste of money. I still have another grey coloured one without switches, been few months, its working fine.

Prim & proper delivery by Amazon India.Rugged adaptor with individual switch, which lights up on putting on. You know whether your gadget is connected to the mains or not. Impressed by the quality of the female sockets: they grip the male plug real good with no chance of a loose connection. And they are rotatable. On the backside is the fuse box, just in case! Not for heavy electrical equipment.

Novel product concept but let down by poor build quality and design execution. Thankfully all the sockets worked in the version that I purchased but the sockets do not rotate as advertised. Also there is a problem to insert some cellphone adaptors (loose contacts). MX used to make products that were better build and cheaper and I still own some of those. This is a let down in comparison.

i feel it is not worth to use since pin point is also damaged if we use this for bot oven and mixe?

This item is perfect, you can move the plugs so you can get all 3 sockets to work without the plugs touching, most of the plugs are made sideways, you can turn the socket sideways so the plugs do not touch.Very very good product, will be buying 1 more soon.

MX is good product company however this time i had bad experience the 3 socket universal adaptor came with fault in one of socket. Where was QA team while shipping such faulty socket.
