I am mixed answers on if the pickups are active or passive.. can anyone confirm which it is. Im also seeing it has a switch to change from active?

This listing includes 6 different Yamaha bass models. The 100 and 200 series have passive pickups. The 300 series has active pickups, with a 5-way instant EQ switch. The 500 series is active/passive, select-able with a toggle switch.

What case will this fit

Most cases sized for a long-scale bass should fit I would think. If it helps, the body is 13in wide x 20in to top horn, with a total length of 43.5in from top of headstock to bottom strap button. Best of luck to you!
