Geomag - Magicube Castles & Homes

The blocks have a good weight to magnetic pull ratio, as compared to other magnetic blocks which allows the building of substantial objects that hold together well. The manufacturers have designed an amazing way the magnets arrange themselves inside the block so that there are no repulsion forces, trying to demolish your creation. I would say that they are the best magnetic blocks available, but are expensive, even at the sale price. If you can live with price they are a great addition to your toybox. We have bought 4 boxes, 64 blocks, for our grandchildren to play with at our house in addition to another 4 boxes for our four year old grandson who has special needs (he has difficulty manipulating smallish objects) to have at his home. He is able to make objects with relative ease and gets hours of pleasure playing with them . His only problem is grandad playing with them at the same time and the resulting competition for the blocks. houses ands castles I have to mention that in the Houses and Castle versions there are an additional 62 magnetic pieces per box {including :- Dragons; Knights; a Princess, Towers: Gates; windows ; roofs; plants etc and some small details:- cats , birds; dogs: chickens small:- children; and pot plants to find) with which you can decorate your construction, They were an additional delight for our granddaughter but dismissed by our grandson as too fiddley for him.

Got these, as they were a good price to add to the other geomag blocks that my two grandchildren fight over as there is never enough

My first surprise was how small these blocks are. They measure about 1.5“. My next surprise was how few of them there are, there are only 16 blocks. I found the packaging very confusing, it does say 16 magnetic cubes. My third surprise was that the pictures on the blocks are actually magnets. (The package calls them Magic Clips) They stay on ok except for the bigger ones, they need more surface area to stick well. Since the blocks are small, the magnets are overall quite small also. My kids don’t really use them. I saw these in a magazine or blog post several months ago and thought they looked really cool but there just aren’t enough of them to do much. My kids tend to fight over them more than anything because they can’t play with them together. I do not think they are worth $45.

Ho acquistato questo set Geomag per mio figlio che compirà 3 anni a maggio, e che da circa un anno possedeva il classico cubo colorato da 64 pezzi, con cui si diverte a realizzare forme, ponti, strade ecc ecc. Questo piccolo set Geomag comprende 16 cubi; ciascun cubo ha ogni lato di colore diverso. Oltre ai cubi ci sono anche 62 figurine magnetiche che si possono attaccare a piacimento ai cubi e che rappresentano parti di un castello (finestre, torrione, stendardo, alberi ecc ecc). Il gioco è quindi un'evoluzione rispetto al Geomag classico perchè offre maggiori possibilità di personalizzare i cubi e dar libero sfogo alla fantasia e all'inventiva, quindi va bene per bambini un pochino più grandi. Il prezzo non è basso, e infatti ho acquistato il set perchè aveva un buono sconto. E' comunque un bel gioco a tutti gli effetti.
