I ripped my Skywatcher Heritage P130 from its wooden stand and placed on this tripod along with a latitude adjustment lock and plugged a panasonic DSLR into the eye piece and it still holds. I'm very impressed.Sadly the dove tail grip does not match the skywatcher's dove tail so the latitude adjustment lock is necessary.There are fastening thumb screws for every moving part yet it's flimsy at certain points.IE:-If the mount plate is fastened the centre column will start to unscrew all together if you try to move the head or if it moves unintentionally.-The dove tail fastener is not very strong compared to the rest of the mount.-The hook on the bottom of the centre column also may end up unscrewing the centre column if it's twisted.All in all these are just nitpicks. The tripod is unusually strong, and sturdy. It's a bit heavy in the aspect of airplane travel.

I got it for my binoculars. Works perfectly fine. Cheap and super light weight. Two thumbs up.

Used it to glass on an elk hunt. Worked just fine. Not as costly as other options, but not a sturdy either. I’d buy again.

I got a used one. It seems a little wobbly but it's sturdy as it needs to be. Only rated to hold 5.5 lbs not 10 like the description says. I checked on the Barska site. A good replacement for my Travelscope tripod even if it is essentially the same tripod. But I like the black color better and the panhandle controls a little better

This fell under my personal rule of "Buy something cheap that works, and upgrade when it breaks" well it broke after a year of use on many hunting and hiking trips. I won't buy again but it was decent while it lasted.
