Its have dry coconut , but In Indonesia we always added coconut cream for more delicious

Q: Got my packages today. Curious in the past I had made rendang but used beef filet anyone use cheaper beef cut and crock pot it. How about chicken?

I have used cheaper cuts of meat, and I have used a crock pot/instant pot. I would recommend putting a quick sear on it the meat before tossing it in the slow cooker

Q: can this be used to make rice?

I use it for beef. I spread the sauce on rice and it taste good. I have not used it directly to make rice.
