I was a little hesitant to do all the work of replacing the water pump and timing belt with non OEM parts but after several hundred miles I have had no problems in the 2005 Kia Sorento runs better than it has in quite a while. I went ahead and changed the spark plugs, plug wires, crank position sensor, and cam position sensor all the same time. Currently, I would have no problem recommending this product to anyone wanting to restore their engine to a very smooth running condition.

Fitted the parts to my Sorento, worked fine for a day, then the second day had a loud knocking from the engine, stripped it down and the tensioner had failed, the timing belt was loose and had slipped.Very disappointing and a lot of extra work.

First quality materials are appreciated. The pieces fit perfectly in my Kia Sorento 2006. Just need to try them and everything works well with normal wear and tear. Thank you

My aging Kia reached 115,000km and I was thinking of big money for the next service due to the cam belt change. This complete kit made keeping the car an easy decision and my mechanic had no problems fitting it. The only minus is the slightly flimsy looking water pump compared to the original.

Great kit. 1,500 miles on my 2005 Sorento and still runs great. you will notice quite an improvement in your engine's performance once this is installed. I would recommend changing the crankshaft sensor and the sprocket while you perform this job.

What can I say.... there is a reason Kia wants $100 just for the tensioner. I had concerns about buying cheap non-OEM parts, especially when it comes to engine critical and hard to access parts. Well, my worries were justified. Installed this timing belt kit on my wife Sorento hoping to save some money on parts. Install went as expected and the car ran great for three days.... out of nowhere I get codes for misfire on bank 1 and a rough idle, besides that car performed ok after 2k rpm. Pulled timing covers after doing the typical inspection of plug wiring and injector wiring and discovered the timing had jumped one tooth on bank 1 exhaust cam! Luckily this is not enough to cause the valves to hit the pistons so that I'm grateful for but the failure is due to a weak tensioner, the belt tension is much weaker than when I first installed this kit just 3 days prior.
