Decent youth glove
This glove is pretty well made overall. It broke in pretty quickly. Downside is the leather quality is more in line with the $50-70 gloves you can get from Rawlings. I thought it would be better in this price range.

Good youth 1st base glove
This is a nice glove and doesn't take much work to break in and forms a nice pocket to where any ball that hits the glove will be caught. The reason I dropped it a star is because it has a nylon lining on the back side of the fingers--the palm side IS leather on the inside. I personally can't stand nylon on the inside of a glove because every piece of bark, rock, seed, etc that gets inside the glove seems to get lodged in the nylon and can't be shaken out like an all-leather interior can.My kid likes the glove and has no problem catching with it and says "it doesn't hurt when I catch", so if the nylon doesn't bother you or your kid, this glove would be a great choice.

Its an ok glove....
Its an ok glove.... If your kid is playing pony league and just wants a 1st base mit for the season. The pocket in this glove is terrible. Most 1st base mitts have deep pockets, not this one. You want a little room for error in a 1st base glove. You dont get that in this one. But, for like 60 bucks....It is what it is. You cant expect a $200.00 glove at a $60.00 price. But, you can still make a better pocket on a 1st base mitt.

RHT vs LHT
Ordered a Right Hand Throw glove, received a Left Hand Throw glove… disappointing since it looks great, and seems to be of good quality. Hoping to order a new one after my return, without the same result

Not for beginners
This is an excellent youth glove for players who are ready for a better quality glove than the Rawlings or Mizuno. Those gloves are great but this one is a step above. Needs to be broken in and shaped. Would definitely recommend

A Little Disappointed After All
I bought this for my son for travel ball and was looking for something ready to go. I liked how soft it was out of the package needing very little break in. Two low points are: little disappointing on how little padding there is in the palm and after just 4.5 months of light use (he played third more then first) the laces around the webbing broke. I'm going to get it fixed on my own as Akadema's warranty doesn't cover laces and it's past Amazon's return window, though I'm hoping to hear back from Akadema as to how common this is. I'll update this post after I hear back from them.
