Good purchase
Bought this for the husband. His last chainsaw had died a death after many years of service. So as he likes this brand I bought the new version. He says it is just as good but much lighter to carry so he is well impressed.

I had a problem with chain assembly and returned faulty machine and have had no reply or refund. Very poor response. Would give 0 star rating

Early days yet
Bought this chainsaw as the Ryobi one I had had a problem and I was told that getting parts was a long wait. Had a look at more expensive ones e.g. Styhl, but decided on this one as it was significantly cheaper but was attracted to it as the manufacturer had made many improvements from becoming part of the Husqvarna group and it was comparible in technology to many more expensive models. Time will tell but it certainly have proved to do the job with ease so far. Longevity, will be the test over time. I have other McCulloch petrol tools and they have proved to be very capable.

Buyer beware
After much research into a chainsaw suitable for garden use, I picked the McCulloch CS410. It seemed to be well built and designed - but it was impossible to start. Not the slightest hint of firing up. The Amazon seller (Platinum) changed it without any fuss, and I duly had a replacement. I managed to get this one to start on exactly two occasions, but after that absolutely dead. Platinum behaved impeccably well (5 stars), and picked the second machine up and issued me with a full credit.I have since bought a Makita, which starts easily - first time every time. I would give the McCulloch no stars if that were possible!

Can't fault mine.
I've been using this saw for 8 months having bought it for a fraction of the price of equivalent Husqvarna. At nearly 41cc it is very powerful for a home user machine and punches well above its weight. I have been cutting oak, ash and lot of apple with it. It is light and easy to handle and has no vibration to speak of. Mine starts perfectly every time, but only if I follow the instructions about choke setting etc. if the choke is not set correctly when the engine is cold then it wont start, so this is important. Once warm it starts with just a quick pull. I paid £280 for mine including delivery to the South of France, and for that price it is a great machine

Für Gartenbesitzer mit vielen Obst- und Nadelbäumen das optimale Gerät. Startet leicht, ausgewogenes Handling, schnelle Wartung und Reinigung durch Schnellverschlüsse, genügend Kraft. Gute Säge für den Hausgebrauch
Heute habe ich die Säge das erste Mal in Betrieb genommen. Kann nur empfehlen die Videos auf You Tube zu studieren, dann hat man das Teil ruchzuck im Griff. Generell ist das mit einer nicht bebilderten Bedienungsanleitung schwierig. Die Säge sprang problemlos an und schnitt 2 srm ohne Probleme, die Kettenspannung musste dreimal mit der Schnellspannvorrichtung nachgezogen werden, wie in der Anleitung auch beschrieben - alles easy. Werde in den Dauerbetrieb gehen und hier weiter berichten.

Sehr gute Kettensäge für den Hobbysäger
Was soll man sagen: Gutes Handling, Werkzeug wird für Kettenwechsel oder Kettenspanner nicht benötigt, spring gut an, sägt gut, super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Wenn man die Schwertlänge mal voll ausgelastet wird, kommt sie ins Schwingen. Ein Spritsparwunder ist sie nicht, ansonsten alles ok.

Achtung !!! Viele Probleme mit dieser Maschine
kaufen Produkt 02/07/2016Ich wusste nie, wie die Maschine der Motor jedes Mal zu arbeiten begann und dann direkt mit einem Brandgeruch schneiden.Ich kann nicht scheinen, einen Weg zu finden, um den Verkäufer zu kontaktieren.aber ich bin ein langjähriger Kunde bei amazon.Es gibt sogar keine Möglichkeit, die Garantie zu aktivieren
