Great LITTLE knife!
This is a great LITTLE knife. Even though the specs list this knife accurately, I had imagined it being slightly bigger, with that said, this is a great knife! I plan on carrying it with a Tops “Yacare” machete when backpacking so it’s small size will be great for smaller, more intricate work and it carries nicely on my side. My hands wear a medium glove and the handle fits my hand perfectly. The Kydex plastic sheath is of decent quality, it’s sturdy with no frills other than the spring belt clip that rotates for angling the position on your belt. The belt clip fits up to a 1 3/4” belt. The hook on the spine of the blade is not a gut hook or line cutter, it is not sharp but would work great for hooking and lifting the hot handle of a lantern or cook pot. The blade is made of high carbon 1095 steel which is incredibly strong and tough and the canvas Micarta handle scales feel great and provide a really good grip. Overall, this really is a great little knife. I couldn’t be happier with the quality that Tops Knives puts out. Thank you Tops!

For the price and excellent choice for Backpackers campers ( light-duty Camp work ), and hunters
I watched a review on this knife on YouTube after being told about tops. The reviewer said that there was numerous handholds that he could not understand why they had them. My knife came with a Kydex sheath Micarta handle boyfriend in an extremely sharp edge for the size of this knife it is a hell of a blade. Edge's nice has almost a mirror finish and is very straight. The wait is great for a Backpacker, but I can see this being used as a field knife for hunting The Edge looks great as a field stripper I was worried. The weight is nice and light the blade is actually legal to carry in the state of Florida. It has a very nice balance for the light chopping that you would do this with this knife. I can see myself getting many years abuse from this blade Dineen Carta handle fit inside the palm of my hand which makes it very comfortable for either a skinning orbi popping joints when field dressing. The thicker spine tells me that it's going to have the cojones to be able to pop a joint without bending the blade

Great camp knife for any level of outdoorsman
High quality like all tops products! This is a great camp/hiking or survival knife. I am retiring my hard used, but still well conditioned "Tom Brown (Scout)" for keepsake. This knife is very sturdy with a nice wide but slightly short handle (over all good hand feel). The front quillion drop point and jimpings are nice as well.I have been a user of tops knives for over 20 years and have invested way more than many would consider reasonable in my collection. Some of TOPS more kitschy designs are not very versatile, but this is a very nice, straightforward work horse.

It’s a Tops
Very sturdy 1095. Made in USA. This is my second purchase of this particular knife. I gave this one to the boy and let him beat the heck out of it. He is very destructive so perfect test for this knife. It’s still in perfect shape minus a few marks on the handle. The finish and edge are still in perfect shape. I was actually surprised. He has had to sharpen it multiple times obviously but no chips or anything on the edge. Truly amazing. It’s a Tops.

Best 1095 EDC possible
The Backpacker's Bowie packs a lot of utility into a compact blade. The size is perfect for unobtrusive belt carry. It is big enough to do what you need and small enough to be very handy. The scales are the most ergonomic I have ever experienced on ANY knife: The scales MAKE you want to hold this blade. I have done everything with mine from bushcraft to food prep. The kydex sheath is excellent with the Tops spring steel pivot/clip. I spend a lot of time in the woods on motorcycles, and this knife is perfect to carry crossdraw in conjunction with a firearm. without being uncomfortable in the saddle. I recommend it highly. Oh, it is 1095 High Carbon, so keep it oiled, especially if you are EDCing the knife in a humid environment.

Awesome compact fixed blade.
Excellent knife from TOPS. So this is for backpackers as it’s a smaller compact fixed blade. My use for this is an all purpose EDC fixed blade. It’s not to big and not too small. The handle is extremely comfortable. The 1095 blade has a tumbled finish which is really nice. It looks like it might have a clear coat on it but not sure. Regardless it’s a nice looking blade finish. It’s basically the same finish on the Tanimboca Puukko. The factory kydex sheath has the steel spring clip and works great. I have seen various reviews that the sheath looses its retention so we will see. I’m not too worried because if there is a problem just contact TOPS.

Sweet Little Knife
I own at least 5 Tops knives, they are all top of the line, hard use tools. This one is no different, robust, good steel and made in the USA. The design reminds me of the old Air Force Survival knife. I haven’t used it yet but I can see it will be perfect for Backpacking/ Hiking. It fits my big hand just right ( which I thought might be an issue after reading the reviews ) not the case. I’m Happy I got this I’m sure it will be a great addition to my kit.
