Fantastic light and so easy to set up with Philips hue and existing smart home set up. Definitely worth the money and with the flexible mounting options it was easy to tuck away and hide the wires.

Great light just like the rest of the range. Looks great set just below the top of my tv stand and when sat in front of the tv look great. I use it mostly on manual colour adjustment as the app needed to set the light to match the tv scene requires a PC and won’t work via Apple TV or the tv direct which is a bit of a shame but I knew this buying it and usually just set it to a colour I like and I’m happy with for that, would be nice if they made the app for Apple TV and maybe android tv so it could sync without running media, films etc through a laptop or pc which no one does really.

Expensive in my opinion even in the Black Friday sales, however are nice little lights that work very well indeed. They’re much brighter than I expected at full power.

This is quite a neat little light that really aids in ambient lighting. It has its pros and cons and isn't perfect but it is certainly a worth while buy for any Philips Hue advocate. Firstly don't be fooled by the size. By the images, I actually thought it was going to be a little bigger. But it's actually just a little larger than a fully grown banana. It has a angled base to allow you to position the unit upwards at an angle. It came with a plug that has three ports to connect three Hue Plays. So I don't actually waste another plug socket which is nice. It also has a couple of stands you can attach the Play to which can let you position the unit in ways not previously possible. There was also a sticker you can place on the base of the stands so you can attach it to a TV or bit of furniture. It also goes very bright! Behind my TV two of these easily illuminate the entire portion behind the TV and the typical 16.7 million colour options is great for dynamic ambient light. Speaking of dynamic ambient light... Hue Sync! Hue Sync is an application you can download on your computer to create a live, dynamic scene on the fly as you watch movies. But... to say that there is flaws in this system is an understatement. Firstly, Hue Sync ONLY works on PC. That means you can't have dynamic lighting with an external Blu-Ray player, smart TV apps and even copyright-strict apps ON PC like Netflix. This is because it works by taking the colours sent to your monitor and also sending them to the Hue lights. One way I could cheat the system was by putting a webcam + laptop in front of my TV, opening up OBS to display the TV through the webcam on my screen and have the Hue Sync app send the colours to the lights. Except it looks a little clunky and webcam colours really DO NOT match that of the TV. Philips needs to start working with companies to have this be part of apps. Surely there's an easier way outside of the PC that allows you to have dynamic scenes? Other than that, the lights work pretty well and sit very nicely behind my TV!

The hue play colour is good, and it’s really quite a nice addition to an existing system, although if you don’t have an existing system I wouldn’t say they can do the job on lighting up your home on there own, I would definitely recommend getting a minimum of two as they suit each other when used together, if only using one it can look a little odd aesthetically. The colour variety is very good and it’s app is extremely easy to use and can create a cool scene in your house.

Confused by the reviews citing a lack of power adapter for these lights. I bought the twin pack and then a single pack and both came with the power adapter and plug. All I needed to purchase separately was a Philips hue bridge which is a worthwhile investment if you plan on buying more Philips hue devices. Have to say I’m really satisfied with these lights, the ambience you can create against white walls is impressive. The responsiveness with the Philips app or apple homekit app is very good, also voice commands with Siri work flawlessly. I bought three of these to replace the normal table lamps I had in the lounge, now saving on energy and now have the option to turn on and off with voice commands. Worth the upgrade to LED lightning. Definitely recommend!

Perfect lighting for a TV set as a light decoration and room ambience. You can also control it via app Phillips Hue (at least on your iPhone). I bought this as a gift for a friend and it made a great present.

Have them behind TV and they add a beautiful ambient glow. Didn’t expect much from the light bars but pleasantly surprised.

J’ai découvert récemment les Philips Hue Play et je dois dire que j’ai été agréablement surpris. Commandé un seul au début pour voir la qualité et le rendu, je n’ai pas attendu longtemps pour en commander deux autres! Installés derrière ma télé en éclairage indirect sur le mur blanc derrière, le rendu est top. Ajout sur l’application Hue simple et rapide et répond parfaitement au contrôle vocal avec Alexa. Le blanc est très bien mais je trouve que les couleurs manquent un peu de puissance. Nécessite bien évidemment le pont pour les ajouter à l’écho système Philips Hue. Seul bémol, le prix... mais bon la qualité est présente donc je pense que je suis serein pour quelques années :)
