Every time I buy this for the kids, their heads explode. They love the variety that comes in the purchase and it seems the sets do get swapped out, as I've purchased this set twice and we've gotten different types so it's a nice surprise. There are varieties that you don't normally see in Hmart or asian grocers, and with recent inflation the per set cost is better when purchasing this versus individually.I always worry the kids won't be able to figure out how to make the set since the instructions are in Japanese, but through intuition/Youtube it always turns out well. And even when it doesn't, it's sugar so it'll taste good regardless.

i got everything it said it came with and overall a great gift for all ages :D

Some of the flavors are kinda...meh. The activities themselves are great and the instructions are a fun tool for teaching/learning to read japanese.

in the description it says 8 box, 12 soft packet. i understand they will send but i got 5 DIY box, 12 soft DIY packet and 3non DIY small candy.

says each kit includes Includes all 8 current Box Kits + 12 Soft Packet Kits. What I got was only 4 boxes & 14 soft packs & 2 random small bags of candy which have nothing to do with DIY kits, Feel ripped off & will not buy again.

Really fun, really good aside from one kit..the hamburger kit i thought it would be candy flavors but it all smelled and tasted what i can imagine animal food would taste. I havent tried the octopus ball kit but I hope it isn't horrible as well.
