Use it for either to obtain sharp or blunt point

Will this work for color pencils to get a very fine tip?

this sharpener is made to sharpen mechanical pencil lead 2mm. the only way i can see it woking for the colored pencil is if the lead is 2mm and you have stripped away all of the wood sorounding it.
