ZY-80 Pro ReviewThere were many choices for Drones in this price range. I selected this one becauseit comes with three batteries, which are 2S (7.4V) 2700mAh, instead of 1S (3.7V), andthat the screen is advertised as being 5”. (I measured 4.8”.)I was skeptical, because there were only four reviews at the time, but with $50 off and the ability to return it, I decided to get it. I’ve flown it four times now and am very impressed.My first flights were in my driveway. I tried the return-to-home control and it jumped up to maybe 65 feet which made me panic. Then it moved above my take-off spot and slowly descended to about 8 feet and hovered there. I’m not sure why it ascends before it returns, but it does this every time.After the initial driveway flights, I went to the neighborhood field where I used up two batteries. Earlier, it seemed that up/down, left/right and forward/back controls were not very proportional. But in a larger area, they seemed much better. Eventually, I was doing figure 8s, by feeding some forward stick and using the yaw to make the turns. I took videos and snaped some photos. This quad is very well behaved; as soon as the controls are released, it stops and hovers in place like it is supposed to do. I did perform the geo-magnetic calibration.The one button take-off and landing work well. I have not tried the follow-me or circle functions.Other observations. The batteries do take a few hours to charge. I observed over 1.5 Amps from a 2A USB port when charging. The transmitter charging draws about half that current.Pluses:The screen is nice, big and clear. (I measured 4.8” diagonal.)The case is nice and convenient.The batteries install quickly – no more messing with tight XT-60s, etc.It hovers very nice.The controller overlay is very helpful to learn the buttons, and to use as a cheat sheet.The batteries are high capacity.Minuses:The gimbal sticks installed very firmly; I was concerned how much pressure it took to get them on. I’m going to leave them on.The camera had plastic protection film on it which was tricky to remove.The videos have no sound. No sure it’s a minus, but FYII would sure buy this again.

I was a little nervous at first, but it flew incredibly steadily and the controls were incredibly responsive, allowing me to perform various lifts, turns, and maneuvers with a simple nudge. 😊 The HD camera was the biggest surprise, capturing crystal-clear footage. The bird's-eye view of the entire park's lake and trees was like a blockbuster aerial film. Overall, this drone is not only easy to operate but also produces professional-quality footage. It's both fun and practical to use, and I highly recommend it to any drone enthusiast.

This drone turned out way better than I expected. The build is lightweight but feels solid, and it even came with a carrying bag and three batteries, which is super convenient.Setup was easy thanks to the instruction manual, but what really impressed me is that there’s also a full YouTube channel with tutorials and ideas to help beginners get started — a really nice touch.The camera quality is excellent, much better than I was expecting at this price. Overall, it’s a fun, well-thought-out package that makes it easy to jump right in.

The media could not be loaded. This is a light yet powerful drone, perfect for a beginner like me. It took some time to learn how to fly, but it’s very easy to operate once you get the hang of it. Watching the tutorial videos was extremely helpful especially for the calibrations!For new flyers, here are a few tips:Manually unfold the arms before flying—I assumed everything would be automatic!The drone comes with an 8GB microSD card pre-installed.To start flying, press both joysticks outward to activate the propellers, then press the takeoff button.Always position the drone above a flat surface before landing. On my first flight, I landed on uneven ground (as seen in the video), but thankfully, no damage occurred!Overall, it’s a great drone for beginners—durable, user-friendly, and packed with useful features.

Would not calibrate so I returned it

After several flights i have decided to post a review.This drone is very easy to fly. The controls were responsive and immediate. Testing the return home, follow me and circle function they all worked flawless. Remote having built in screen meaning no Ap or Cell Phone is a plus. Picture and video quality are excellent. The Battery Life and Remote charge are very good.Only reasons not a 5 Star ratingScreen information hard to see in Sun LightNo flight logs that I am able to findThis Drones price makes it a easy choice and good for Beginners or Experienced Operators.

The media could not be loaded. This drone is perfect for beginners like me! The 4K camera delivers crisp photos and videos, and I love seeing the footage right on the built-in screen—no phone needed. GPS and auto return give me peace of mind, and the 3 batteries really do last around 90 minutes total. It’s lightweight, folds up small, and flies smoothly even in a breeze.

This is my first drone. Love it! Easy to operate. Three batteries give plenty time to enjoy.
