Easy on your wallet, Easy to use, Easy on your mind.
I absolutely love this bag!I bought it to hold my DSLR and an extra lens in my messenger bag while on a 10-day trip to Germany. I had originally bought a brand new, $120, dedicated camera backpack for the trip, but after a few months of using it, I realized (like most dedicated camera backpacks and bags) it was too bulky and too heavy. When I came across the ApeCase for $12, I figured that it was worth a shot. I'm happy to say that it worked absolutely perfectly. The case is made with a hefty ripstop nylon with the ApeCase logo imprinted in it. While it is about 10.5 inches tall, only the bottom 6 inches are padded. The rest allows the bag to close via drawstring. (photos 1 & 6)The drawstrings allow it to close securely and tightly. This was a huge help to me in the airports when going through security. They asked me to put all electronics together in a separate bin, so I put my charging cords, headphones, and adapter in with my camera, closed the top, pulled it out of my bag and put it in the bin. When done, I was able to simply slide it back into my bag within seconds.I really like that if you do not want to mess with the drawstring top, it pulls down around the rest of the bag on the outside to leave an open top. This would be great for someone who just needs a place to put their camera between shots, or to switch cameras. I used this feature whenever I would change lenses. The case is supplied with two adjustable padded dividers. The case has two Velcro strips along the inside, which allows the dividers to be placed wherever you need them. (photo 4)The only CON I have with the bag (so far) is that it does not come in a color other than construction yellow. I feel that since this is a case for expensive cameras and the like, it should be in a color that does NOT attract attention. It does make it easy to find small pieces in dim light though.Overall, I would certainly give this ApeCase a 9/10.Photo 5 shows my case with a Nikon D3300 with strap and 18-55mm lens attached, a 55-200mm lens, and a Rugged memory card case.Photo 6 shows the closed full case. All measurements in the photos are in inches. I am not an employee, nor was I compensated by ApeCase in anyway for this review.

Extra Padded Case Inside Camera Tote...Love It, Keep Your Gear Extra Safe!!!
This keeps my camera from bouncing around inside my camera tote, love the extra protection. Fits my camera like a glove. Great Price, I feel it is better than a simple wrap.

Good enough
I bought this to slip into both small and medium sized Timbuk2 classic messengers. I also use the Timbuk2 Snoop insert regularly, so this is more a comparison of the two. The primary reason I went with the Ape Case was size. It's a few inches less wide and slightly less deep. The size is absolutely perfect for carrying around a Sony NEX-6 with three prime lenses and still leaves me with just enough room left over in the small messenger for a water bottle, notebook, snacks, etc. This is my go to insert when I need to carry other things in my bag. However, if I'm out shooting and don't need anything but my gear, I'll use the Timbuk2 every time. The Ape Case, outside and in, is made from some type of nylon. Feels like a windbreaker. The adjustable inserts and outside padding are just adequate. They provide me with just enough protection that I don't cringe carrying around my modest setup. If I had purchased this to carry gear more substantial than my setup, I would have immediately returned it. It's not bad, it's pretty inexpensive, it helps keep your bag organized. Just don't order this expecting it to come as nicely padded as some other inserts, or with a soft plush lining like you'd find in the Snoop.

The Cubeze 33 fits perfectly in Topo Designs Rover Mini backpack
Love that you can put this insert inside a normal bag and turn it into a (nondescript) camera bag. Got this to put inside a Topo Mini Rover backpack to hold my Fuji XT30 + lenses, and it fits as if it was made for the backpack. I wanted something light, compact/not bulky that I could take with me on travels and/or hiking; something that wouldn't weigh down my 5'1" frame. I'm able to comfortably fit my camera and all 3 lenses that I have if I wanted to (a 35mm F2 and 2 others that are just under 4" long; I use Op Tech neoprene lens cases so I can stack 2 lenses in the same compartment), with some room left at the top of the backpack. Even with everything inside, the setup feels light and well-balanced. The bright yellow color provides nice contrast to the inside of my black bag, which is really helpful for seeing into the bag. Can't speak for durability, etc. since I just got it, but so far I'm ecstatic about my setup.

Great (& cheap!) for putting inside of another regular backpack!
I received a dedicated camera bag as a gift but didn’t end up using it much because I wanted the ability to carry other things like my laptop and my daily driver backpack. I do a lot of my shoots right after my full-time job so wanted something that could protect my camera equipment but sit well inside my existing backpack. Because of this, the Cubeze style really appealed to me.I’ve had it for about half a year now and love it. It fits perfectly inside my Dagne Dover bag (which looks good for a professional work setting) and still allows me to hold my camera equipment (Sony a6000 and an 18-105 lens for the 33 size option). At $11, it was a great purchase. The interior is padded so I know my equipment is safe and it comes with adjustable padded dividers on the inside so you can make whatever space you’d prefer to hold your gear. Because of the way I use it, I never had to use the drawstrings so I can’t speak for that. I basically just push the soft part down over the harder rectangular base. And I’ve never taken it out of my work backpack! Even without shoots, I just always keep it in there. It actually works great because the interior of my backpack is all black and sometimes I would have to feel around for objects since I can’t easily see them. With the bright yellow of this interior case (which is probably not great for people using it externally), I can easily see what items I have in my backpack. I simply take out the adjustable inserts for regular usage. This might not be for everyone, but for what I needed it for, this was perfect and the price point was great. Would definitely buy again if something were to happen to mine.

Simple, fits nicely
The size of this is perfect to pop it inside of a backpack or even some shoulder bags. It simply offers you the same type of segmented, padded camera storage you'd get inside of a camera bag, but you can stick it into the bag of your choice. It's a nice bit of versatility that I like a lot.

Great cheap camera cube
Exactly what I wanted. A cheap sleeve to stuff in a backpack and protect my gear. An even smaller option would be nice, the one I got will have room left over with a small mirrorless camera, even with a spare lens. Quality isn't as great as expensive models with flocking inside, but should be fine as long as you use a lens cap.

Super recomendada.
