Perfect for DIY
The media could not be loaded. I was hesitant to purchase this brand, since there are no clear videos or pictures of the color/final project. Someone mentioned the Tan is a “stone” color like concrete, but that is false. This is, in fact, a Tan color. IMO, gives it a better finish with my colored-concrete, than a grey color (like the mortar). The premixed bags are THE best option. It took me over an hour. I poured about 2’-3’ at a time, then immediately poured the sand over the sections. There’s no way to finish in an hour (especially if you’re working alone)! The “mix-it-yourself” kit will set too fast & take longer. I definitely recommend using this premix option!I purchased 3-bags, but only used 2. My pool’s size is approx. just over 10k gal. and circumference is about 148 ft. Two bags really went a long way!*** FOR RETURNS: there is a $10 shipping fee, & you’ll have to re-box it yourself. So, if you buy more than you need, there is NO “free” return option.

Perfect for replacing mastic around swimming pool.
I had 115' of 1/2" wide x 1/2" joint around pool to fill. It took 2 bags to do the job and I bought 3. Here are some helpful hints. Buy ketchup/mustard squeeze bottles at the Dollar store for $1 for 2. Each bag fills 10 of these squeeze bottles. Using the bag to fill is too cumbersome, so the small bottles are perfect and easier to control. The squeeze bottle have no caps, so have tape ready to seal them after you fill them from the large bag. Next, buy a 50 lb. bag of play sand. Use it to fill in the joint. It only costs about $5. You use some then throw it away. Reuse the squeeze bottle when you use the other bag...remember to tape the tops to keep the chaulking from drying out. You only need a hand cutter with the pyramid blade to cut out the mastic and a small amount of rough sandpaper to clean the edges if you left some mastic on there.Also. read the label on the bag, it will tell you how much you'll need. You can always order more. Lastly, the color advertised is TAN. They don't make TAN, they call it STONE, which is the color of regular concrete. In my case the color was perfect. One day for about 3 hours to take out the old mastic and fill with sand. The next day to pour and takes about 1-2 hours. I didn't have to use blue tape around pool so if I went over the edges, the tape would catch it. I started at first light and got it done before it got too hot. After pouring, I sprinkled a little of the sand on the new mastic because they say to do that.I think I did a pretty damn good job and saved myself a bundle...I'm 70 years old.

Easy to use pool mastic
Product was easy to use with provided spout that could be cut to size. Use all the product during one application as it does begin to harden once the seal is broken. We did notice that it takes more effort to squeeze out if the product becomes colder than room temperature (we left 1 unopened bag sitting outside overnight (50 degrees). On rather cool days/nights it will take about 2 days to totally set. Will definitely purchase again.

A Good Product for a Tough Job
After nearly 30 years, the old Deco-Seal was cracked and missing. I bought a few tubes of ChemLink NovaLink SL Pool Deck Joint Sealant, some non-porous backing rope, and Play Sand as filler to redo about 100-feet of the old Deco-Seal. It took about 2 days to remove and scrape away the old material with a few large screw drivers. Once the backing and sand was in place, the application of the new ChemLink NovaLink Joint Sealant material took a long day to complete. But be careful and take your time. The material flows to a smooth finish. But be sure you get it right the first time because trying to touch it up once the first application sets up leaves unwanted blobs. Most of the application work is done on hands and knees, so buying a set of knee pads is highly recommended. Once finished, the job looked great. Definitely worth the time and expense.

Great prodcut and easy to apply.
This product was great and easy to use. I had been researching other products that require mixing in a gallon paint can and then applying. This is much easier to use for the DIYer. The bag is a little large and takes some work to apply perfectly. I would definitely recommend taping off both sides of the application area. After I applied the product, I pulled of the tape before it began to set up. After the tape was removed, it looked like it had been professionally done.

Great product
Don’t throw the box out with the plastic applicator top! We almost did and application without the applicator top is gruelingly hard work. Two months later the sealant looks awesome. We’d recommend a small amount of sand be added to the top of the sealant after application so it isn’t so glossy when dried. Great product!!

good but pricey
25k gallon pool. Used 4 packs due to large gap between concrete and couping. I did put 1 layer of rod on top of existing foam but additional layers would have made for a very thin bead. Expensive but seems nice.
