Can't remember if this one has an on/off switch but one needs to check before replacing the battery. My grandson switched off his Gorilla version of this toy and after replacing the batteries several times, realized this one had an on/off switch. My grandson loves switches and had turned this one earlier in the day. Showed his older brother (4) what to look for next time the sound didn't work so his parents wouldn't go thru the same hassle I did trying to get the sound to work.
