I'm sure they want the application to absorb into your skin and don't want any other products interfering with that. It is for external use only. Do not swallow. Relieves back, knee, neck and shoulder pain. I'm not sure this is the right product for you. I have already had one hip replaced and I'm in no hurry to have additional surgery. I have used joint-flex in the past and it relieves pain for a few hours. I also take Alliviate pills, two twice daily. This helps a lot. Between the two items I'm able to get by with only a slight limp. With no cartilage left in my knee, getting around is more difficult than it used to be.
