Good stone
Used upon receipt to sharpen several quality forged kitchen knives. Very happy with initial performance relative to price. The images shown were indistinguishable from a higher priced brand.Haven't had it long enough to evaluate durability, could become 5 stars over time. Would buy again.

Difficult, but it works
After trying several "easy-to-use" sharpeners that didn't work well, or in the case of my $100 chef knife, dulled badly, I tried this. At first, it didn't seem to be working, but be patient. My knife was dull, so it took a while. WATCH SOME VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE. Also, buy a honing tool to maintain edge between sharpenings. Conclusion? Finally, finally my knife is sharp again. I can cut fruits and vegetables fast and easy. It's been so long it feels like a luxury. If you really like having a sharp knife, get rid of the gimmics and do it like a professional.Admittedly, my first time took a while, and I don't think my knife is as sharp as it could be. However, its pretty darn sharp, and now that I've learned the basics (it's a bit of a learning curve), I'm sure with practice I'll be able to get my knives as sharp as I want.A few ending comments...This takes work, some research, and a little practice. But after this investment, I'll never worry about a darn dull knife again. Even with the work that's involved, there's something very satisfying about sharpening the knives with a stone. It feels good to do it like a professional. It also feels good to have my knives back, especially my chef, which is easily one of the most important tools in my kitchen.

Good general sharpening set
Comes with an angle protector for knife, with the 2 grit size wet stone and no slip base and holder, plus a rag and a small high grit stone (maybe a 300?) that you use for the wet stone to generate more abrasion. Or use it in the knife if you have dents. Has a little small booklet too.Seems to work. Takes time

Seems uneven. Still testing.
Stone may not be even.Small 1000 grit Stone that came as extra not even all sides, plus it chipped?Wooden holder molded over.Line between 1000 and 6000 not even.Spots on Stone that seem rough.I used as recommended and now my knife less sharp than before. We'll see if it's me or Stone.I ll post update.

Angerstone brings the anger to knife sharpening
When I'm sharpening my knives with my Angerstone, I get SO ANGRY about all the time I spent in my life not using my Angerstone. Then I flip the stone over from 1000 grit to 6000 grit and I instantly get 6000 TIMES MORE ANGRYI 3d printed a bench sharpener device that moves the stone across the knife instead of the knife across the stone for a more regular sharpening. There are a few products on here with a similar function that cost $250. This stone is perfectly adequate for this purpose. I actually kind of feel bad not using the supplied base because it does fit together really well.
