Santy in search of his family forgiveness!
The movie is good. However I would of love to see Santiago in surcharged for his baby and girl friend. Perhaps they can make Goal IV!If Mexico ever goes to the finals in a future Wold Cup. Santy can come back on goal IV asthe “Mexican Coach in search of his family forgiveness”. Then the movie ending will be great!

I'M SURE THIS MOVIE IS AS GREAT AS THE FIRST AND SECOND
I'M SURE THIS MOVIE IS AS GREAT AS THE FIRST AND SECOND. UNFORTUNATELY IS IS A REGION 2 AND HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED IN THE UNITED STATES. I'M ANGRY ABOUT THAT. I HAVE BRAND NEW MOVIE THAT WILL COST ME MORE TO SEND BACK THAN WHAT I PAID.

Very disappointing!
It doesn't have to do anything with the saga or follows Santiago's history. It is a different movie and disappointing because doesn't show what happen with Santiago's girlfriend, whom seems to be pregnant at the end of Goal I I, or what happen with his family in America or Spain. Santiago appears in the movie as non important or decorative part of the movie. I did not like the movie at all.

Doesn't play on US DVD players.
This item won't play on my DVD cuz it's not for USA. If we want to watch it, we have to use our laptop. Did not realize that when I bought it.

very bad movie
OMG!! there was actually a budget for this film?! the producers and directors did an absolute poor job on this film. not only is the storyline garbage, but the production of this film is very bad. 95% of the football scenes are clips from the 2006 world cup. are you serious??! this is absolutely horrible movie. i cannot belive becker agreed to act in this film. if i were a film director, i would make goal 4 and continue where 2 left off! becker seems like a moderate actor that deserves a better film than this crap!!!

I will not order from this company again.
It took forever for my item to arrive. They never gave me a tracking number. And when it arrived I can't even play it on my DVD player. When I try to play it it says to check the country code. So I spent decent money on a DVD that took weeks to arrive and I can't even watch it.

Waste of money and time!
Bought the first goal, absolutely loved it so I bought the second one. That was even better and I really got into the storyline especially with the end of the second one where his girlfriend is pregnant and we don't know if they get back together. At the and it also said to be continued. I couldn't wait to order the third one, it came and I watched the first 10mina before realising it has nothing to do with the other two films. No same characters. No plot and no questions answered. Stupid storyline. Pointless making it. It has nothing to do with the main guy. Rubbish. Wanted to rate it 0 stars!!

Goal Disallowed!!!
What a massive let down. This finale to the trilogy was a complete waste of time. First, the story had nothing to do with Santiago and his dream of playing in the World Cup for Mexico, because he apparently was injured. Next, the 2 English players with which this story was about were so unrealistic to any England player that ever played. For example, going off on your own in rural Rumania looking for a drink, err, never ever heard of a national team player doing that kind of hike before a World Cup. Then a major star player being cast in a vampire movie right before the World Cup....who writes this crap??? I understand that the footage from the 2006 World Cup was difficult for them to write a story with Santi in play. But use some imagination please. They could easily have done a Harchester Dream Team style kit make over of Italy and made that Mexico winning the World Cup and used cut aways of the Mexican fans during their games. Editing and some simple CG work could have completed the dream. But no, they went really over the top and actually had one of the stars die in the middle of the World Cup. Then have the players and staff go back to England for the funeral, and return to Germany for the match with Portugal and miss that penalty. Err, the players did not even bother to wear black arm bands....just a little detail someone should have told the director to plant in the CG footage. No, this was a joke from start to finish and what started as a good movie in Goal 1, and became intriguing in Goal 2, just got whitewashed out by a pathetic 3rd that had nothing to do with the series. Can they ever make a world class film with football? The lifestory of Pele & Maradona, or the scandals of FIFA, Havelange as a Godfather of organized crime and corruption, how a football match started a war in Honduras, even a fan's story of an amazing trip to Istanbul to see the greatest Champions League Final ever. Come on, as big as the game is world wide, some storywriter can use it to produce a film of timeless integrity. Surely!!!

WHERE IS EVERYONE?? AND WHO ARE THEY???
The strangest thing about Goal 3 for me is the fact that Santi, the central character from the previous two films doesn't even get to kick a ball in the whole World Cup!!! There is no mention of his long lost brother from Goal 2, and the Anna Friel character has been all but erased from the story without any explanation!! This drivel mainly concentrates on the romantic interests of two England footballers - Liam, and Charlie - and reminds me of the frustration that I often felt while having to endure episodes of Hollyoaks with my family at mealtimes!! Finally, the match scenes themselves are ridiculous - when you see the actors supposedly on the pitch, it is totally obvious that they are just standing in front of some type of background screen - I saw far more convincing backgrounds and special effects in Harold Lloyd, and Laurel And Hardy films made back in the 1920's and 30's!! Even when David Beckham scores for England, all you'll see is his upper body as he prepares to take a free kick - no sign of the ball flying into the net at all!! If for some reason you are a fan of disappointment, then buy this film at your earliest opportunity!!

Absolutely abject
What is the point of this film? I actually liked the first two films - and anything with Anna Friel in is sure to catch my attention. But - and this is what beggars belief - the story lines from Goal 1 and 2 are just dropped, and Goal 3 is about two footballers you've never heard of before, even as fictitious characters. What a farce. How could anyone think this would be a good idea or would appeal to fans of the first two films? It's like the third instalment of Lord of the Rings not having a hobbit in it. Now perhaps Santiago Munez (Kuno Becker) had a leg amputated between films 2 and 3... that would explain why he hardly features at all... the human interest completely disappears, turning this film into an amateurish glorification of the World Cup. I smell the interfering behind of Sepp Blatter here somewhere. Something HAS to explain the complete abomination that is this film.

Garbage
After consideration, this is easily the worst film I have ever had the misfortune to see. I loved Goal I and thought Goal II was okay, but this had nothing to do with either of those films. Stanti, the main man in the first two, is now relegated to just being the 4th man and rarely features, in fact I am not even sure why he is in it at all. I am clueless as to what the story line is because it just seems to be a jumble of ideas and randomly lurches around from one event to the next. Without giving much away something happens in the film that would be an impossibility in a time frame of 4 days. Needless to say there are numerous errors in the film such as Joe Cole being substituted in a game and then celebrating a goal while still playing. But these are no longer amusing such as the infamous goal keeper switch in Goal I, it is just symptomatic of a horrifically bad film. There is also some sort of amusing side story with some Geordie fans travelling to watch games. Here we learn that all Swedish fans are blonde women. For anyone into their football, the fact that Mike Ashley has a cameo in it says it all.
