The Big Book of Gazebos, Pergolas, and Other Backyard Architecture

Pretty much is a show-room catalogue for a single company's portfolio (with a rare exception from one other place)... but you have to pay for them to advertise to you. I completely agree with the other review that a google image search is far better. My copy came damaged with the corners all bent as well so is disappointing as a coffee table book as well... though if I'm being honest.... there isn't much creativity and the style of all of them are pretty much the same so I don't think I would have had it out for others to look at anyway.

This book is OK if you are just looking at samples and not for specifics. In my opinion, it is a bit pricey for what it offers. if you are looking for a more "How to", look at Easy-to-Build Outdoor Projects.

Excellent photograps and lots of options shown.

More about ideas instead of projects. Better google for gazebos and pergolas photos.

My husband was looking for a book like this and finally found it here at Amazon. It was exactly whathe needed for building a Pergula.

Very informative

These days, it is a simple matter of doing an internet image search to instantly see online many of the photos included in this book. It appears to be little more than a compilation of a few gazebo and pergola manufacturers' stock photos along with a some nice words but not much more. This is the type of book people sometimes give others at Christmas when they are stumped for an affordable gift. Nice to look at for a few minutes but then quickly forgotten. For the money I had expected more.
