7" Horsehair Shoe Brushes (2pcs) – 2 Color Hair Made for Light & Dark Shoes or Boots

First off after being in the military I believe that I am somewhat of an expert on shining my shoes. But for the past 40 years I just bought one and done cheap shoes. The ones you buy, wear out and then throw out. Those cheap shoes are not comfortable enough or dressy enough for 100% of time I wear shoes, so I bought some dress shoes. If you are going to spend big $$ on shoes, then take care of them and make them look their best, these brushes were purchased just for that purpose, to make my new dress shoes look good. I find that the darker bristles are a bit stiffer than the light bristles, so I use the darker bristle brush for pre-polish, knock the dirt off, and the softer bristles for buffing out the polish after it has dried. I am not into "spit shine" on my shoes and the brushes performed wonderfully for buffing to a moderate luster without extra buffing with a cloth.

this is my second set of brushes I use them for different colors on my shoes I like the curved shape and size good grip and they did a nice job on my boots, so all in all I can say they are very good quality brushes and brought back the shine on my neglected boots.

I felt the brushes are lighter in weight than expected. The size is smaller than couple of other brands I used in the past. Personally, I like the heavier and bigger brushes to get a firmer grip and provide more power to the shine. (Example: I got Shoe Keeper brushes from Men's Wearhouse in US and Pro Care (made in Germany) brushes from India; both suited my needs and taste better than Shacke could do.)Quality of the bristles is decent but they are harder and crispier than I thought. The crispier bristles fall off (not a lot that you need to worry, but still an observation).If the set of 2 brushes came at let's say $8/$9, then I would say it's a good buy. But I paid $13 for the set of 2. That way, I expected more to rate it as a 5-star product. Overall, decent and I rate it 4-star.

Good size in the hand, no bristles falling out and does the job well. I expect these to last several years so think they are decent for the money.

The brush pair is well built and fairly big (therefore easy to grip). The density of the bristles is high. This helps in controlling the buff you want to give your leather. I chose this pair as I wanted to easily demarcate the brush that I use for lighter shoes and darker shows. Perhaps my only gripe is that every now and then, a few bristles would come out. Wish the bristles were more firmly glued.

Good shoes cost a lot of money but can last decades if taken care of properly. These well made brushes can help you do exactly that.

Comes in two colors. Black and blond bristles. One for my black boots and the other for my brown pigment boots. Easy distinction when grabbing the right brush from my shoeshine kit. Very important. Not the softest bristles. I use them only on my boots. I prefer softer bristles on my dress shoes.

Loved these. My shoes shine every time I brush them. Not at all when I buffed them with a several different cloth materials.
