Some of mine are years old. They've survived well (dishwasher and all) and still look good as new. In concept, it's nice to have crockery that's presentable and not have to worry about it. If something breaks (which isn't likely because they're tough), replacement is easy and inexpensive. Review: Not sure if genuine Dema Simplicity - Initially when bowls arrived I thought they were the same as previous ones I had bought. However, after putting them through one delicate dishwasher cycle, without being used, the black stamp on the back has almost disappeared. The old ones are still as new. Also when stacking it seems the new bowls are not quite the same shape and do not stack as neatly, taking up more space.
