This is 2002 Flight Sim
I mistook the disc for the 2022 Version. Quite disappointed but decided to just keep it without going through the hassle of getting my money back.Fired it up in my computer with all the upgrades to run Flight Sim 2023 and it loaded fast.Hooked up my joystick and selected The Corsair F4U plane. Then the bugs started crawling out.Everything worked OK on takeoff but all of a sudden, all control was lost, and the plane crashed.Re-started program and could not change aircraft.Disappointed, I just unloaded the program and put it away. All I can say is buy this at your own risk as it is not returnable.I don't recommend it.

...but I ain't got wings.
FS 2002 is a serious simulator. That said, this simulator is a real achievement from the folks at Microsoft (like 'em or not). I have gone through most of the training lessons, and I can tell you that they are thorough. I have two friends, who are real pilots (I'm not), that are amazed by the knowledge I've gained without leaving the confines of my study or risking a real-life bad-weather landing. So impressed that they each ran out and purchased a copy. The simulator includes numerous detailed aircraft, thousands of airports, amazing graphics (definitely need a good accelerator and lots of RAM for this), detailed downtowns (I live near Denver and it's spot-on), real-time weather conditions, customizable weather conditions (for practicing your instrument landings), and a ton of lessons that will let you talk-the-talk with real pilots. I've played this one for hours, and I really haven't scratched the surface. If you're even a little interested in flying, buy this game.

Visually great, not well tuned
The features, flight model, planes, scene database, and configuration/settings interface is quite good. It's fun to fly.It doesn't seem like the software is particularly well tuned for performance (frame rate is critical for flight simulation). The frame rates are quite low even with good hardware. I was using a 2 Ghz AMD machine, Win 2K, and a GeForce Ti 4200. At the time this was a very good CPU, good OS (for games), and a fairly good gfx card.

Easy to use game
Easy to use game, great graphics and many airports to take off from and land. You can play it by using your keyboard and mouse. To get full experience, I highly recommend spending a few bucks on a joystick.

But I felt like I am playing the P
I still haven't learned how to land, I tried to get into it again. But I felt like I am playing the P.C. Gamer demo all over, one flight plan, not much landing going on, you take off from like a single airport. Yet it filled the entire P.C. Gamer demo disc that issue. There was no other demo's with that issue. So I thought I would learn how to land. I haven't yet.
