RWO Stg 1:Song Bind-Up Bob Bug (Read with Oxford)

Very nice and colorful picture. Aside from Bob book I also use the book of Julia Donaldson. my son loves reading this he is 43 months old. Sometimes he will grab this book and read alone while I’m cooking. Good for beginning readers.

Brilliant.I have added pictures of the few pages from the first three stories. You’d see that the first story has only a few words on each page and the second one has a few more and third has more than a few. This progression continues in the book - the last story has loads of words to read/practice and get confident.The stories are decent - focus is on phonic so if parent/teacher has explained phonics to child and child is interested in blending words then this is a good start. Pictures are good.For £5 I feel it’s good value for money.

Overall okay. I love the series, diversity of children depicted etc. But really disappointed that this book contains a story about a dog being hit by a van and having a bleeding leg and trip to the vet. This is unnecessarily dramatic and upsetting for sensitive children (and all children because that needs to be handled so well by the adult).The series also includes too many animal characters for our family as we prefer Montessori, so if you’re looking for something more factual the Oxford series on them natural world is better.

Great book for my 5 year old who is still learning her letter and to form basic sounds. Helps me to guide her reading and shows me what letters to focus on when we are practising with flash cards. The stories get more complicated as they go along.

Bought this for a child I work with who is an emergent reader and she loved the stories which then developed her confidence in reading. All stories and words in the stories support Letters and Sounds!

This book is great for getting children to finally start reading confidently. The first book in the series is super simple with just a few words but the ordered changed around. My son picked this up really quickly and since then has progressed through the books quickly. He can confidently read the first couple of stories. They are entertaining and simple. It also gives tips and how to encourage reading. Will be buying more in the series. Great value for many books in one.
