Got it to Work, So Far so Good
Ok bros so I bought this SSD from here: Kingston NV3 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe SSD | PCIe 4.0 Gen 4x4 | Up to 6000 MB/s | SNV3S/1000GThis one perfectly and was the right length. I was able to screw it in and all. Make sure to push it in until you hear a click, it does take a tiny bit of force.Next this is important: DO NOT BOOT FROM INTERNET RECOVERY MODE. It comes with a little notice saying so and it doesnt work. You have to make a Live Bootable Mac OSX USB. There is a youtube tutorial online, but you have to download the OS go in a folder and drag a file to the terminal to make it a bootable USB.Then you hold option when powering on and select the bootable OS you just downloaded, I did Monterey. Then next you go into Disk Utility and format the SSD as APFS with guid partition. Then finally you click reinstall OS and it should work after about 30 minutes.I had a Mid 2015 Macbook Pro and it works as expected so far, but as I have just gotten it running again I will check back in to let yall know how long it lasts. I dont see why it wouldnt last though as its just a stupid adapter, but we'll see.

Solid Adapter
If you're comfortable working on laptops the installation is easy. Even for someone trying to modify their MacBook for the first time I believe it would be simple. After installing the adapter and an SSD it worked perfectly. The speed will depend on the type of NVME SSD you buy (that's compatible with Mac). I choose to upgrade from the original 128GB to a 1TB SSD and the difference is night and day. The Mac runs quick and has enough storage for my media. The part is small so the build quality is good for it's intended purpose but definitely be careful to line up the pins correctly for the installation. For the adapter I believe it's genuinely well worth the money you pay for.

best adapter for ur macbook
the best adapter to upgrade your storage, in my case I have a 13 "Macbook air from 2017 that came with 128GB, I upgraded it to 1TB of space with this adapter, I did a clean installation from 0, formatting the disk as indicated in the instructions, I used an Nvme disk recommended in the manufacturer's specifications, ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB, to avoid any incompatibility. It worked perfectly, the best thing about this adapter is that the screw hole fits exactly, so you don't have to do any homemade solution, at first I thought it wouldn't fit but I need to put pressure on it inwards, first place the NVme in the adapter and then those two pieces together in the macbook, don't be afraid to put pressure on it, the hole should be exact for your screw.

Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB in 2014 Macbook A1502
my stars are just for the adapter working with 970 evo plus 1tb ssd to fit in 2014 macbook a1502, will check into adding the kapton tape for heat, hope my review helps those attempting to keep their older macs running, as for everything else, I updated firmware/driver available for evo plus on samsung website if not updated with latest, I used a usb to format for mac to download & run on boot to check, ssd was already updated with samsung firmware, used enclosure nvme case to format evo ssd to apfs & download macos catalina prior to installation, once evo is installed, macos booted up as a new mac, restored with time machine, opened mac terminal to enable trim & the following settings for sleep/standby/hibernation/autopoweroff to 0, update energy saver settings, monitored battery life became somewhat less on battery power, but better speed, so if this isn't a problem for you, below is information explaining further & sources:documented in MacRumors forum website, apple has no plans to update...This is a known issue that occurs when using NVMe SSDs with MacBooks from 2013 and 2014. The problem exists with every NVMe SSD, even Apple NVMe SSDs, even OWC aura Pro 2, even Transcend 850 NVMe SSDs...This problem is related to the NVMe DXE driver in the bootrom of the 2013-2014 MacBooks-source by INDMEM-GLOBALHowever, you can circumvent this issue using the following steps! This will still allow for regular sleep, just not deep "hibernation" mode.1) Open up Terminal (open your Applications folder, then open the Utilities folder. Open the Terminal application.)Type in the following code in the Terminal:sudo pmset hibernatemode 0 standby 0Press enter (return). If that didn't work, try also doing the following:2)Open up Terminal (open your Applications folder, then open the Utilities folder. Open the Terminal application.)Type in the following code in the Terminal:sudo pmset autopoweroff 0Press enter (return).iMac crashed when waking up from hibernatiom, self restart. The iMacs before 2017 have issues with the drive's power states after upgrading the blade SSD with a non-Apple NVMe. The late 2013, late 2014, mid 2015 iMacs will crash when waking from hibernation, self restart with two start-up chimes. The late 2015 iMac will either "restart because of a problem", or show a folder with question mark icon (depending on the system event produced).Until Apple patches the bootrom with the full NVMe driver that 2017 and 2019 iMac models have, the only way to prevent your iMac from crashing is type the following command in Terminal:(open your Applications folder, then open the Utilities folder. Open the Terminal application.)For Late 2015 iMacs (disabling normal sleep) -> sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 25 standby 0For Late 2013 until Mid 2015 iMacs (disabling hibernation) -> sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0 standby 0 autopoweroff 0(for the models in late 2013, late 2014, mid 2015, alternatively, instead of standby 0, you can leave the standby at 1, and use for example standbydelayhigh 2592000 which equals to one month in seconds)

Worked first time!
I ordered this to replace the stock Apple 512GB NVMe in my 2013 MBP 15 Retina. The Apple drive wasn't slow, but also not really performing at NVMe speeds (~650 write, ~720 read). Due to long shipping delays I decided to also order a similar Willhom adapter in case the Sintech never arrived. The Willhom arrived first and after installing it ... nothing – the computer didn't even detect the NVMe drive with that adapter. Thankfully the Sintech unit arrived later the same day and after installing it worked perfectly – some delay in the first boot, but instant startups after. I chose the Crucial P3 1TB to replace the stock Apple drive and it is literally TWICE the speed. System startup and overall performance is snappier. This Sintech adapter was the most recommended in the research I did and they were not wrong. I am a happy customer.
