Yes the model I purchased has the light & sound module.

Can you open any doors?

Yes Indeed! Both driver & Passenger doors open. (So you can put the figures in). The utility door on the passenger side also opens to stow utilities for fire fighting. The Hood opens to reveal the engine also. The truck is awesome!!!

what size is this toy?

Toy is about 14 inches long by about 6 inches wide and seven to eight inches high. Ladder extends about 24 inches. Bruder makes great toys and stands behind their products.
