The flavour was EXACTLY what I'd been after, and perfectly within my nutritional requirements (love the very low sugar/net carbs!). I was drinking Isopure for years and they changed their formula to something unpleasant. This stuff though? Similar macros, tastes great, blends beautifully. I think I found my new protein home. For context: I got a little 5 serving sample bag of the cake pop (it comes with a scoop in the bag, don't worry!). I put it together the way I usually do. So for me, that means 2 scoops of protein, 2 scoops of my collagen powder, 1/8th a tsp of xantham gum. I add 16 oz of water and shake it up- I don't use a whisk ball, I just let the air in the bottle do the work. Top it off with a little almond milk and extra flavor if I want it (I like to use a splash of chai concentrate usually). First: It blends like a DREAM. No clumps, no grittiness, just smooth. And it is THICK. I really didn't need the xantham gum, and I probably wont use it the next time. Second: Okay, when I opened this bag my first comment was 'it smells like cake mix'. And drinking it- pretty much like drinking a thin cake batter. I'm usually not one for a lot of sweet, but this sweet is pleasant without that artificial grossness that makes some other protein powders undrinkable. Third: I did a quick little bit of math and this is pretty much mid-range for price at this kind of macro set up. It's just slightly higher than my Isopure was, but I'm not bothered in the least. This stuff is worth it. There is no production date that I can see anywhere on the container. Why not?** A: On the tubs it is located on the upper beveled edge right above the label, on the bags there is a small stamp a few inches to the left of the barcode on the back. The expiration date stamp also contains the lot number which is a requirement of the FDA. It is possible that Amazon placed their barcode sticker over top of the expiration date stamp, and in rare cases it could be rubbed off of the plastic tub, but there would be obvious signs of friction. Cookies & Cream was just reintroduced with an improved flavor, so any units of it will not be set to expire until 2023. **Q: Does this taste better than quest protein?** A: I find the Quest powders to be way too sweet. This protein is much better in my opinion. **Q: Is this the frosted chocolate cupcake?** A: Yes **Q: Is the chocolate cupcake milk chocolate or not?** A: PEScience makes a Chocolate Truffle, and a Chocolate Cupcake.
