I’m just running into this issue with it giving off a chemical like odour and making voc levels rise to toxic levels like 2000 ppb (confirmed by my air things). Doesn’t happen with my other levoit air purifiers. Hoping someone can send a replacement to see if this one is defective but I’m VERY worried as I had it running in my 3.5 month old baby’s room and only connected to the app a week later so didn’t know VOCs were dangerously rising with this on and the door closed. If I turn the unit off I don’t have this issue and VOCs dropped to 40-60ppb as soon as it was turned off and smell went away. Anyways, want to warn others incase this is a manufacturing issue. When I called levoit they just said to return throug desertcart and it seems this unit is so new they hadn’t dealt with it.
