Professional Violinist here
These are really great. They protect your ears while maintaining the important qualities (overtones, tone quality, etc.) that you need to hear while playing an instrument. Already recommended to a student of mine who struggles with becoming overwhelmed by sound. Love how they come with a nice case to fit into my violin case easily!

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW
These are by far the best ear plugs I have ever used. These were perfect for the rave I went to, and perfect for the hookah bar after. You can hear the music, feel the bass, hear your partner, hear the nice cars driving by, AND they are the most comfortable earplugs you will ever wear. I fell asleep with these on with no pain, soggyness, ANYTHING.You will read hundreds of reviews on every single earplug on the Amazon market, and since these have little reviews you will look past them. DONT MISS OUT, these have perfect highs, protect your ears at 12 decibels, and you can eat every bit of the music perfectly. You not only save your ears, they look cool too. Easily a luxury ear piece, like the beats of ear plugs.I had to write this, I was gonna go with the ugly alternatives (forgot names), the earbuds that might leave a piece in your ear... They are all cheap BS. These fit nice, come in two sizes, built with QUALITY, and come with a CLEAN case that has an extra pocket.Everything you need. Don't pass up because it's a foreign brand, they focus on making hearing aids.Ravers, people who want to do quiet business and need earplugs for hours, BUY THESE. They will not disappoint.

Good, but not great
I wear these for barre class and they work pretty well. They tone down the music, but I can still hear the instructor. I have pretty small ears, but still needed the regular size; the smaller one was too small. I tried attaching the cord, but it was difficult and I was insuccessful.I also bought the Etymotic Research ear plugs and like those better. They seem to work better for me, fit better, and are more comfortable.

Excellent quality and a fair price
I've used Westone pills for a number of years, as a professional stage musician. They are just the right mix of sound dampening without blocking my ability to sing

Could not get a good fit. Did not allow conversations "get through".
As an airline pilot, the idea of cutting the racket and preserving conversation sounds too good to be true....but i tried. Getting a good fit for me was difficult and seemed to just muffle all sound equally. With foam earplugs, you can put them in a little for a little attenuation, or all the way in for maximum protection. With these, they are either in properly, or sound leaks past, and then the earplugs do nothing. They come with two sizes, small and medium. (Compared with the silicone tips that come with most earbuds which I can use the medium, but use the large if I really want to block noise.). In order to get a seal, I had to insert them so far, I thought I would not be able to get them out. They come with a plastic strap that won't lay right and tickles your neck, but without it attached, I was afraid I would not be able to get them out, or lose one. I called the company and they said they don't have a larger size and that they are ok going that far in. Problem is that although the silicone is soft, there is a hard "filter" that is in the largest end and the plastic strap goes around that, so essentially it is hard plastic with just a silicone cover on the end where it seals. This left my ear canal sore after about an hour or two. Getting them in was really hard as well because they are rubbery (think non-slip rug pad) which causes them to not want to slide against your skin. Getting them wet with saliva worked, but that's kinda gross and feels like a wet willy, which is undesirable. Maybe if my ear canals were smaller or I liked spit in my ears, these would have worked. Unfortunately they did not and foam earplugs are much more comfortable, efficient, and adjustable (and cheaper). I did not try them at a concert or where it is REALLY loud, but they say they are good for air travel and I would disagree.

Sounds natural without the noise
I have used these for a limited time, so I have not tested all possible environments, but here are my impressions. I needed to use an electric planer and thought that would be a good test. The planer is pretty noisy and with extended use, it will fatigue your hearing. I used these ear plugs and they worked well. In fact, they reduced the noise to a comfortable level and with the tool off, I could hear the sounds in my environment without any difficulty. I believe these will do a good job for protecting my hearing while using power tools. I also believe they will do just fine in any loud environment.

Why advetise and label as 20db when they only reduce by 12db?
I only left one stars overall because your description and warning labels are confusing together. The package reads 20db as advertised in its description. However, the EPA back label indicates that the Noise Reduction ration for these is only 12db. Even in the same warning box the model is listed as Tru Universal 20db. So, which is it?

These are with me wherever I go!
I have tinnitus, so my brain has turned up the volume of the world to drowned out the ringing in my ears. These attenuators are the best because they are comfortable, a person talking with you cannot see them, yet you can hear the person speaking. Note that these are not ear plugs per se, they simply turn down the volume of the world by the described decibel in the description.I have 5 pair of these Westone attenuators. A Hollywood sound effects engineer originally told me about them - they are industry standard. I wear them at the movies, in cafes, while walking in a city, at church, concerts, really anywhere there are loud noises, lots of people, or speakers. The one thing to keep an eye on is keeping them clean. The attenuating filter is tiny and will fall out if handled too roughly while dirty. If it falls out, it’s gone. Simply too tiny to ever recover. This, coupled with the fact that I never want to be without them, is why I have multiple pairs. Also, I like that the carrying case is small, soft, sort of seatbelt fabric. I carry them in my front pocket with my wallet. Both fit fine in a pair of Levi’s.I’ve tried other brands, but stick with these. Even when I used to pay upwards of $70 per pair from a pro audio engineering supply place. Still worth it.

Great product
I use it all the time my daughter perform in dance competitions and when going to shows. Even use them sometime to sleep when it's a bit too noisy or when taking an afternoon nap. It don't alter the quality just lower the intensity. Great product.

Great for wild nights out
I can hear my quietest friend in the loudest bar! of course, she has to shout a little but it's better than just smiling and nodding.
