All around well designed bag.
I purchased 4 similar bags and ended up with this one. I'll briefly summarize the pros and cons of the 4 I looked at.What I was looking for in a tail bag:- around 20 L capacity- Easy access - this meant no roll-closure bags and sacrificing waterproofnessI was mounting these to an Altrider luggage rack which I have mounted on my Tiger XRX. It basically provides wider and longer platform for mounting with a lot of tie-down options. The Bags:Givi UT807BPros: nice looking; semi-solid so it holds shape well; inner roll top that is optional to use and provides waterproofness.Cons: Expensive; doesn't expand by much, one big compartment and only 2 small, flat pockets, so its not very versatile. Biggest issue was mounting. The straps are meant to loop around various parts of your bike. Problem is each loop attaches to 2 points on the case - one on the bottom and one further up on the case. The high attachment point allows for too much movement of the bag IMO. Also, the plastic lips looked very flimsy and I wasn't confident they would last long - I expected better quality given the price.Chase Harper 4200 Hideaway Tail TrunkPros: good quality material; side and back pockets for improved versatility; bungie cord on top.Cons: Does not hold it shape at all when not full. I really hated the attachment system. Its 2 bungie cords that attach on the bottom to the bag and pull out to secure to the bike at 4 different points. Pulling them as tight as possible, I was never able to get the back secure enough for me. It didn't help that the cords don't attach to the corners of the bag, but instead on the bottom, in from the edges.Ogio Stealth Black Duffel Tail BagPros: Back, side and top pockets for good versatility; expansion creates a significant increase in capacity; integrated rain cover.Cons: The material felt a little cheap compared to Chase Harper; I didn't like the non-removable pad on the bottom - it seems useless; The attachment points are in good locations, but the buckles are attached to the bag at set angles which limits how you can attach it to the bike. The buckles also looked pretty flimsy.Chase Harper 4205 Ripstream Tail Trunk - this bag, and the one I finally chose.Pros: Good quality material; back, side, top, and inside top pockets for great versatility; bungie cord on top; stiff padding in sides makes it hold it shape well; the side pockets will each hold a 1 L fuel bottle (could not fit them in the Ogio).Cons: Not expandable; Its kinda wide and even with my wide luggage rack, securing it scrunches it up a little left to right. Again, I hated the bungie attachment system, but I liked the bag so much I used an alternate method. The bag has 4 webbing loops on its 4 bottom corners. I ran a strap with cam locks through each side pair and looped the webbing around the luggage rack and bike frame to secure it very tightly. It doesn't budge when I'm riding, has plenty of space, and great pockets for organization. Its easy to get into when I have to make a quick stop on the road. I'm very happy with this bag and think it will last a long time.

Well designed moto trunk bag
I now use this bag daily. The semi-rigid inner foam structure also serves as insulation for cold drinks/food. The pockets are accessible and well placed: rear pocket holds 2 pairs of wind/sun glasses, side pockets hold plenty of stuff, top mesh pocket is great for keys, inner front pocket holds phone, and main compartment holds almost a full grocery bag of stuff.4 Bungee chords on back are perfect length to secure to passenger seat/handles, and can be stowed away when not in use. Sturdy handle on top is fantastic, and zippers are heavy duty YKK.Highly recommended

Nylon good, zippers poor, internal stiffening warped.
Recieved product today. The nylon material is nice and thick and the construction (inner liner, sewing) seems good. The zippers are of low quality though and don't operate very smoothly. I have no faith in the longevity of the zippers given the amount of usage I'm expecting from this item. The internal stiffening, which is sewn into the item, between outer nylon and inner liner, is warped and buckled in places. This leaves the bag very misshapen. Honestly, I'd rather have a floppy bag than one that's stiff but warped. Due to quality concerns of zippers and misshapen construction, I'm returning. For the manufacturer, I'd rather have no zippers on the bottom, to hide the bungee, and see that cost savings go into better quality zippers in the pockets. For the stiffening panels, you should make them smaller than the bag seems and have float between the nylon and inner liner, as opposed to being sewn into the seems. This would keep the panels stiff without causing the stiffening panels to bind, which leads to the warping and buckling...

Does the job!
I like this bag pretty well! I was able to secure it to my LiveWire without too much struggle- I do wish that it held it's shape a bit more once strapped to the seat. It sort of molds around the seat, so you end up with a bag that is only as wide as your backseat... Read not that wide in this case. Overall though, it is an understated looking bag that is well made. Holds my spare shoes, a water bottle, my phone, wallet and registration, and there is plenty of room to spare. Probably would also hold my work laptop if I ever go back to the office. Removing it to take with as a messenger bag or backpack seems ok! I would recommend!

Worked well on my motorcycle adventure into the mountains
Plenty of room for my rain gear, extra gloves and most everything in need quickly. Attached using strong bungee cords wrapped to the stock Africa luggage rack. Worked well

Very functional, well made, good looking tail bag.
Excellent! Low profile for the bike (2018 Vstrom 1000). The low profile is what I like best. This replaces a Sedici tail bag that I had for two years with low use. So far I like it better than the Sedici one. This bag has good material; I do see what other people said about the zippers (need to be heavier duty), however the zippers seem on the same plane as the Sedici bag I had.Note that I do have a a home-made base plate bolted to the tail of my bike (10”x14”) that is covered by the bag in the picture. Other wise this model of bag (and my old Sedici bag) would have been slightly too big. I recommend this bag.

Practical
I love this bag for a weekend trip. Used the bungees to strap to the rack on the back of my bike and it was perfect. I like the side pockets. Not sure about it’s original waterproofness as I took no chances and siliconed sprayed it. No problems when it rained. This is my second Chase Harper bag and both are high quality products.

Great bag. Not perfect, but very close.
Fits on the back seat of my standard-style Honda CB1000 perfectly. Enough room for daily essentials. Only downside is that the main opening is quite a bit smaller than the bag itself. While my 15" laptop would fit in the bag, it won't fit through the opening, so it doesn't matter. Not a deal breaker for me, as the size is a great compromise. Still a 5 out of 5 stars.
