Would these fit around board game boxes? Do they stretch large enough to fit around medium-sized boxes?

I just bought a new HP laptop computer. The box is 12" wide X 19" long, and 2 1/2" high. These rubber bands will fit around the box the wide way but not the long way. Adding two times the width plus two times the height, I would say a total of 29 or 30 inches would be close to the limit.

Will fit a notebook journal and keep it closed tight?

I would assume you mean a standard size journal? These are pretty big rubber bands so I'd think they would. You might have to wrap them around the journal a couple of times to keep it closed tight.

I am not familiar with that designation of 33. However, I did measure the actual length of the rubber bands in inches by placing one on a ruler. Pinching the band "closed" at each end (not stretching it), the band measures 6.5 inches.
