オイル臭いと感じた事は今まで一度も無いです。とても火がつけやすい。火をつけにくいと仰っている方はどういうパイプを使ってるのか？？普通のベント、ビリヤードならこのパイプ用ジッポがあれば十分です。何年使っても、結局パイプ用ジッポに手が伸びる。ボウルトップを焦がさないで済む着火道具としては、このパイプ用ジッポがベスト。喫味ではチョロ火で着火した方が良いかもしれないが、何度でも簡単に再着火できる点、オイルもフリントもどこでも売っているという利便性のおかげで、パイプ用ジッポを使っている。(自分はパイプ用ジッポとマッチをどちらも常備している。理由はパイプ用ジッポもマッチもどちらも好きなので)個人的には総合的にみてパイプ用ジッポがベスト。

横にして5㎜程度隙間を開けることで効率よくパイプ煙草に着火できる。 この距離感を覚えるまでは結構つきが悪いが覚えればガスライターとくらべてもそん色ない。

マッチを使って炭化、再着火などしたいところですが少々面倒にも思い、パイプ喫煙用にも手巻きタバコ用にも使えるので購入。 パイプ喫煙にはマッチ、普通のタバコにはイムコのストリームラインを使っていましたので、両方のバックアップ用ライターとして活躍してもらっています。 フリントは共用しないほうが良いですが、オイルは共用できるので管理が楽です。 マッチの火よりも若干弱く取り扱いづらいので、再着火用に常用するようになりました。 普通のZippoのように着火した状態のままだと風防の上蓋に火が当たって小さくなり風に弱いですが、ポッカリ空いた穴から火を出すようにライターを寝かせれば火が安定します。 パイプ喫煙の場合はそのままチャンバー付近に持って行き、優しく火を吸うだけで着火です。 強風の中パイプ喫煙するのかはさておき…。 マッチや専用ライターに比べると劣りますが、あったらあったで十分便利で気楽に使えるライターです。

自分は煙管を3つ所有していますが、火を着ける時にライターを傾けるとライターの火が消えてしまうので、このライターでは、傾けても火が消えないので、煙管パイプの煙草を吸えるので、楽です。ガスライターでは、ターボライターでないと火が付かないので煙草を楽しめます。

パイプ、煙管、どのタバコ(電子以外の煙草)もこのライターあったら他要らない。 効率的。合理的。

オイルの臭いはに気になりません。早くこのライターにすれば良かったと反省しきりです。通常のジッポーライターではパイプに上手く火が回らず、長いターボライター等をとっかえひっかえ使っていましたがこのライターなら火口の上でグルグル回せば上手く火がつけたい個所にぴったりフィットです。しばらく使うと着火やすりが回らなくなり、石を変えたりしたが、うまくなかった。思い切ってさかさにして台に叩きつけたらなんと石の破片がポロリ。これが原因でした。細かく破砕された石がめずまりしていたことがわかりました。トラブルの参考にしてみてください。

ただのジッポとは違いますよ、と言った視点が持ててgood です。

Just take a second and enjoy reading those well written directions first. Good well written directions are sadly not as common these days. You might need a magnifying glass the print is small. Thankfully Zippo's high quality USA made lighters are built to last a lifetime and work as they should from day one. I really like the feel of that black coating because it has just enough tooth kinda like a chalkboard so it's not slippery in my hands. It wipes off nice if you get any grease or dirt in it. A lighter for everyone to use this is a wonderful tool for you that will make you feel proud possibly nostalgic too. When you use this lighter you are not contributing to planned obsolescence or toxic garbage causing pollution. You can replace a wick, re pack, replace flint, and re fill with ease. These are safer to carry and will treat you right. Yes you can recycle your empty Zippo fluid can. I prefer the pipe insert because it adds versatility to this lighter. Just as wind resistant as the others, and when you light your pipe no nasty butane or petroleum taste because these burn clean. Regular tobacco pipes to your posh Turkish water pipe this is the lighter you want. If you have one burning dirty or producing excess soot just adjust your wick a little or trim your wick carefully. Dont over fill your lighter. Use only fluid and flints specified by Zippo it will last longer. Works great for burning your nylon or polyester threads if you sew at home or in an industrial sewing setting like a upholstery shop. A few tips to improve your fuel efficiency. To stop any leakage and just wipe a little petroleum jelly or chapstick on the sides of the insert after filling your lighter. When you slide the insert back in just wipe away any excess and this seals them up. This helps keep dust or moisture out of your lighter. Importantly use safety, common sense, and teach others.

This was Zippo Pipe lighter designed specifically for lighting the tobacco in a pipe bowl. Excellent product made by Zippo. I still have my Zippou cigarette lighter that I purchased in 1960 Still works as good as new. Smoke a pipe now.

Llevo algunos meses usándolo y ahora es el único encendedor que utilizo. No noto en absoluto el olor a gasolina cuando fumo. Funciona perfectamente. Eso si, la zona alrededor de la mecha se vuelve negra en seguida y si lo limpias al día siguiente está otra vez igual. Quitando un pequeño soporte de metal se transforma prácticamente en un zippo común y podéis usarlo también para encender puros o cigarros. He dejado de usar mecheros baratos que se estropean al poco tiempo, sin gastarme un pastizal. Parece que es para toda la vida. Lo aconsejo.
