Review after 3 years
I use this chair daily for work, and it is holding up like a champ after 3 years of use. No, it isn't the most padded, but it isn't uncomfortable at all. The arm rests are mostly firm but not hard -- they have some squish if you push down on them. The back is very comfortable, breathes well and is supportive. This is not a cheap chair. The back gets dusty but is it able to be wiped off and cleaned easily. The chair still rolls smoothly. It hasn't shown any signs of fatigue -- it stays up and doesn't lose height throughout the day. The seat is a very dark black and doesn't show any signs of fading or staining. It doesn't transfer onto clothes, either.I have considered getting another chair, but only because I'd like to put my feet up. In order to get around this, I put another chair on the opposite side of my desk and use it to prop my feet on rather then spending the money. I still like this chair just fine.

Good product, decent value, terrible packaging
Just like my momma always said I'm not good at many things, but one thing I am good at is sitting. In fact, I'm a bit of an expert in the subject and humbly consider myself something of a chair connoisseur. A seat savant. A bench boss.So let me be your sedentary stentor of seated stuff and share with you my thoughts on this functional, attractive, and moderately priced chair from HON.PROS:+ Stretchy backrest provides support that conforms to your back and breathes well to help you avoid nasty back sweat.+ Adjustable lumbar support gives some added structure for your lower back (could be better - see below).+ Foam seat bottom is comfortable even for those of us not gifted in the posterior area (I did add an extra memory foam cushion for some added comfort).+ Great adjustability across the board (seat height, back angle, recline tension that can be locked into position, seat bottom rotates in proportion to the back angle, armrest height (I added foam covers to cushion my elbows since I actually use the armrests), and lumbar support position (limited adjustment and made from hard plastic somewhat contoured like your lower back)).+ Casters roll easily with no friction making it easy to move around. You may want to consider a rug or mat to protect hard flooring or change the casters out to urethane rollerblade wheels (not included).+ Materials and design are attractive with different colors to suit your office environment (home or work). Easy to clean and should age relatively well, but do be careful with sharp objects around the mesh seatback material. Time will tell if the stretchy mesh will lose its springiness or if the foam seat cushion will flatten over time.CONS:- A bit pricey (but much cheaper than the chair designs that HON so blatantly borrows from).- Horrible packaging (loose pieces in the box can damage the delicate mesh seat back or scratch the finish on the plastic pieces).- Weak lumbar support (I added a foam lumbar cushion in between the lumbar support and the mesh back for added support with some cushion).- Plastic legs have been known to snap according to other online reviews. Be mindful of the weight limit. I haven't had any issues myself.- Questionable quality control (the first chair I received had a portion of the mesh on the seat back damaged with no visible damage to the plastic in which the seat back was enclosed. To me, this indicated that the damage was likely there when the chair was packaged. I couldn't get a replacement back sent to me so had to send the original one back and have a new one shipped to me. This was at no additional cost to me, but did take another week.).If you're looking for a smart alternative to the Herman Miller Aeron chair that won't require you to get a second mortgage on your house then definitely give the HON Ignition 2.0 a look. There are cheaper options out there, but for me, this chair struck a good balance between design, material quality, and price to support my broken back and bony derriere. With Amazon's return policy you'll have an opportunity to try out the fit and feel for yourself. Just make sure you check the quality of the parts before you spend time assembling the chair.

A great upgrade from inexpensive/standard desk chairs
I read & browse daily for hours online. My old chair was slipping in height and really not good for support or general comfort.Overall: This Hon 2.0 is roomy, easy to assemble, supportive, well made & quite comfortable.Fit: I'm 5'6 - my feet in a mid-height position rest comfortable on the floor (I have long legs) and there are height options should I like to adjust. The seat is roomy, comfortable & supportive under my quads towards knees. In the seat forward/or back back position, even more so. I can tuck my feet under & use base spokes to rest my heels.Mechanisms: Everything is fairly smooth. Needs some pressure even when tension is released to tilt back - that's mostly fine - adds to support.Assembly - major chair parts were packed in protective thick plastic. Seat part is fairly heavy. The tool to bolt seat to back is included. Parts were undamaged & sturdy. The only real difficulty I had was snapping wheels into base. Using a hammer to help (only one wheel snapped in with hand pressure) required a few try's, till they were secured. No damage at all using this method. What I like: Comfort & support. A solid roomy chair with a slim profile. Arm & height & depth adjustments work well & relate to function & need. Seat cushion & back mesh is comfortable & accommodating. Lumbar support is supportive and not intrusive. All chair movement & adjustments available are functional though tilt could require less pressure$$ = value for sure.

Excellent Office Chair
This chair has excellent quality, is comfortable to sit in, and would definitely recommend again. I had purchased my previous chair from a reputable nation wide furniture company and thought I was getting what I was paying for (it was extremely expensive). 3 years later, I gave up on that chair when it would shift forward while sitting on it. I saw HON and knowing companies do use this brand, thought I'll go ahead and get it. When it arrived, I unpacked and had the chair assembled maybe in 15minutes. This is the most simple office chair I have ever assembled. The parts are quality and after using it for the past week, it is definitely worth it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone else.

Bolts snap on back of chair
I bought this chair 3 years ago and the bolts on the back of the chair broke off. Initially, two of them broke off and the bolts snapped. I bought new bolts and had to drill out the snapped bolts to replace them. I did and thought all was good. I am a not a heavy guy and like to lean back on my chair. There are 3 bolts holding the chair and I just had another snap. I have never had a chair do this to me before. Now I must replace this expensive chair. Not worth the money in my mind

Perfect chair for Big & Tall Men
Pros:+++Easy Assembly+++Durable lift with 6'4, 250lbs of man using for 10+ hours a day, no sag++Comfortable cushion, relatively springy even after hours of use++Arms adjust up/down pretty far which is nice+Decent back support - not as rigid as a Aeron or something, but good for this price pointCons:- No accessories (would love a head support attachment)Overall highly recommended if you're a big/tall guy like myself this is definitely a chair worth considering. Comfort is great, construction quality is top notch, and price point is hard to beat.

It gets the job done, but its not amazing
I saw this chair recommended in some NYMag (or something similar) review of ergonomic home office equipment, so I thought I'd give it a try.Overall, its just OK.The chair is fine to assemble - just your standard office chair assembly. The adjustments are slightly better than a standard/cheap chair - the seat slide adjustment is nice. There is no lumbar adjustment (not a problem for me). The arms feel reasonably sturdy, but with a little wobble. The back of the chair is comfortable, but it sways side to side a bit when you're leaning in it - like if you were to lean to one side or the other, the back bends a bit to follow you. I can't tell if this is a feature or just loose tolerances.I've only had it for about a month, and I don't notice any unusual wear. Standard chair wheels, so I upgraded to those inline-skate casters (which fit the base just fine).

Cheap Build Quality
I've been using this chair daily for a little over 2 years now and recently the lift cylinder, which is responsible for adjusting the height of the chair, has started to slowly drop on me over the course a day. Every day I find I need to re-adjust the height of the chair now. For a chair this expensive I expected the build quality to be better but it's really just another office chair with a cheap build quality. I'd recommend saving your money and going for a less expensive option. My previous office chair was in the $100-$200 range. I got it in 2013 and it lasted 10 years until the lift cylinder gave out. I should have saved money and gone with the same one but I thought I'd splurge a bit on what I thought was a nicer chair. This chair is a bit more comfortable than my previous chair but the slowly dropping lift cylinder drives me nuts.
