Heavy Duty King Kutter Stump Jumper, Fits 4', 5' and 6' Rotary Mowers 403031

This stump jumper is very heavy duty. Very very pleased as this was part of a replacement for a very worn cutter assembly. Just make sure it will fit your equipment. Highly recommended.

Heavy duty part. Quality for the money paid. Only thing I don’t like is the castle nut isn’t recessed and exposed. Stump jumpers that had that feature cost 3x more. I will need to inspect this one after every cutting to see how it is holding up. We will see. It is a couple inches smaller in diameter than the one on my old one (which I knew) so I have lost some cutting diameter 5”. I’ll have to increase the blade size to get it back. All together way better than the one I had that was rusted to pieces, loose and off balance.

The product is misleading. There is no vertical re-enforced steel. It just the regular stump jumper.

First thing I noticed is that it does not have the added reinforcement as advertised. The second thing is the minimal amount of weld holding the pan to the blade carrier. This thing is going to catch Hell and should be welded accordingly. Third thing is that there isn't a spec of paint on it. Yes, a lot of it will be rubbed off from use but the top side should have some at the very least. Positives are that the pan section is definitely thicker. The shaft mounting area is recessed to provide some protection to the Castle nut. Shipping was fast and packaging good. I would definitely buy this again but only because I'm a seasoned Welder/Machinist and will make the needed upgrades myself.

It would be 3-4 stars, if it was actually what was pictured. I chose it because of the additional steel to keep it from bending like my old one did. I was pretty disappointed that it didn't have them. It fits my old red-ish colored, 6ft. mower that the name brand is worn off of. The metal support piece extends past the blade bolt holes farther than the one it replaced. This should help keep the blades from hitting the underside of the deck.
