Abandoned: The Most Beautiful Forgotten Places from Around the World

I like this book! However it does not show multiple photographs inside the featured places. :( for example there's one picture from every place, but i wish it featured say 15 places with 7 or so photos from each place and a short story about the exploration... Overall a good coffee table book!

Small and easy to carry. I love it.

This is a terrific book, if you like this sort of thing. The photography is fantastic.

The photos are amazing, wished there has been a little more write up on each of the locations. Examples being history or interesting facts.

The photography in this book is beautiful but the size of the book is unfortunate. Abandoned places photography justscreams out for a large format. This book is 6 3/8 inches by 7 3/8 inches. So small. I wish the size had been listed in thedescription. If you like tiny photography books then this is the one for you. If you like generously sized "coffee table" books then look elsewhere.

This book is VERY small and not a "coffee table" book at all! The books dimensions aren't mentioned in the description which is misleading. The photography is awesome but doesn't give multiple views of each location. Another issue is the lack of information provided for each location. I plan on returning this book and I'm in the process of doing just that. If you're shopping for an informative book about abandoned places this is not it...keep looking!

Public library. No purchase. I believe the term "ruins porn" applies here? I have seen that term used. Interesting photos from around the globe of places and things that have outlived their useful lives. Some I had seen, most not. If this is your thing, and it is undoubtedly mine, you will not be disappointed with this book. Nature reclaiming what is rightfully hers. Places and things that at one time were wonderful and grand and now are anything but. Irony here is that this book was printed in China. Many scenes here of deserted Western factories. Maybe that's just me? If you like to see photos of places that have been left behind, get this book.

The book has nice photos (I especially like the section on abandoned rooms) and you get a nice mixture raining from adandoned mansions to abandoned vehicles to abandoned theme parks. Book is quite small and am unsure how it will work as an altered book.

Beautiful pictures but much smaller than expected.

First the good. The book is nicely printed and bound in a hard cover.Now the not so good.1. The "author" hasn't contributed all the pictures himself. In fact most of the pictures are from stock libraries or other people. See the picture credits at the back of the book.2. The book itself is rather small. Which is really my fault for not checking before ordering.3. There is no narrative or context for most of the pictures.4. Two of the pictures on the rear cover aren't in the book although a similar one is included.

This is lovely hardback book - a little over A5 in size - that contains pages of beautiful colour photos of abandoned buildings. Some from the outside and some from the inside as in the attached photo. It would be nice if the book were larger to prevent some photos printed across the spine but that’s a small gripe. A book that makes you think.
