Excellent every day knife
I have to say to hold this knife in your hand whilst closed it really is a thing of beauty. I know it sounds strange to say this about what is in essence a folding Stanley knife (box cutter) but it just looks and feels fantastic. On opening the knife as you can see in the picture there is a index finger guard on the underside of the blade which feels rock solid and I was more than happy to rest my finger on it without fear of cutting myself. The guard / holder on top of the blade is also solid. Overall the whole knife feels very well made.I have a huge hands and was worried this knife would be too small or end up hurting my palm as is the case with many small knifes however this knife fits perfectly into my hand and with the finger rest / guard described above it just feels like a very natural extension of my hand. The pocket / belt clip did not bother me at all which with other knifes that feature a clip it often gets in the way or digs into the inside of the hand when using the knife but Gerber seems to have cracked this.I use a blade of some type every day for lots of every day stuff like opening post (mail), cutting up boxes for recycling, opening parcels / deliveries from the likes of Amazon and Ebay so this is the perfect tool to have around. All in all it's a beautifully designed knife that I will look forward to carrying everyday and safe in the knowledge it's legal in the UK where I live.

Very worthwhile!
Slightly different to the original model that I purchased some years ago, but I find it indispensable! This new version has a slightly stiffer action when new, but an hour or two flicking it open/closed whilst watching the TV makes it very slick. I use it every day in place of a regular 'stanley knife' and can open and close it with one hand in once second or so.The only trouble in the 5 years with the previous one was that the blade retaining screw sheared while I was installing a new blade. (top tip: always fit good blades Irwin, Fat Max, Stanley carbide etc; they're really worth the extra). I managed to replace the screw with one from my computer and that managed to last 18 months, until I lost the knife.I have average sized hands, but I do wonder if this might be a bit too small for somebody with large hands. Also opening and closing with one hand is probably something that you'll have to practice if you aren't naturally dexterous! In summary, I think this is an excellent product and is substantially cheaper than it used to be! Go get yourself one :)

are easy and safe to use thanks to the locking mechanism
After some trepidation over the high cost of this knife versus other cheaper folding utility knifes available from most tool stores, I bought one. No regrets and so impressed I bought a further two for my sons, one of whom is a joiner and always misplacing standard utility knifes. They are high quality and even though small, are easy and safe to use thanks to the locking mechanism. It fits comfortably into small pockets like the mini pocket on jeans or can be clipped onto inside jacket pockets where it is readily accessible. I'm a gardener and always needing a small knife for opening compost bags, cutting twine etc, so this provides the perfect extra knife when I've not got my main swiss army knifed to hand. Beware that they are illegal to carry in public places though.

Survived even being run over!
Great quality and very handy but still a bit priceyEdit: I've had this for ages now and just yesterday I dropped it on the road and it was RUN OVER!! Amazingly its barely damaged though I do think i was very lucky because even the clip did not break it just popped out of place, the main body/handle of the knife is a little crushed now and it makes a nasty grinding sound when i open it but it still works fine which shows its amazing quality. The only thing i did notice before it was run over is that inside of the handle there was some rust, barely any but it was there. I suppose because the lock is springy it cant be made from stainless steel and that's why it got a bit rusty?

Great tool
This is the absolute gem of a knife. I took it with me by mistake on a trip abroad and it was found in my luggage. I cursed myself but then realised that I could eject the blade and then take the rest of it with me. When I got back I slipped another blade in and it was fine!

10/10
Quite Simply the best utility knife I've ever owned. SO small clipped into your watch pocket and 9 times out of 10 as functional as a full size Stanley knife. All the advantages of a pocket knife without having to worry about those jobs that would permanently damage your victorinox blade. And it looks gooood! I now have two: one for me and one for my car.

Small and useful
Where I work, I am often opening boxes and cutting tape. Before, I carried a Stanley Knife around - but that was a bit cumbersome. This is so small, that I clip it inside my Watch Pocket (small front-right pocket on jeans). I manage to fit an Olight I3S Torch in there too.

Gives you a really sharp edge when you need it
How many times have you needed a really sharp edge to trim or accurately cut something ,but a Stanley knife is just something you don't want to carry around with you. This tool is not for heavy cutting but solidly made and so usefull.
