Great case but check the heating pad is in the correctly marked plastic bag
Excellent case for my pi 3b - well made, easy to install. The passive cooling is very good, my pi went from hitting 85c and throttling constantly while on normal clock to staying around 65c under full load and overclocked to 1300, which has made using it for browsing etc possible - it was unbearably slow and prone to freezing before. Only slight niggle - the two heatsink pads - one for the pi 3b and a thinner one for the pi 3b+ - here mixed up and in the wrong plastic bags with the 3b thicker one in the bag marked 3b+ and vice versa. Fortunately I checked before sticking the correct one on. Other than that, a terrific case, highly recommended. Looks pretty stylish too!

Must have case for any Pi!
Bought it four months ago after trying out two other dirt cheap cases (which all broke apart and failed on me). My main concern was to get a case that both could cool the devices processor significantly and allow it to run silently on my desk or behind my router. Previously I used active/ fan cooling which produced really annoying vibrations and didn't cool the CPU directly, after buying this, I won't have a need for any other cases again. The passive cooling cools the CPU better than any of my active cooling did. Although the case warms up a small bit, there is nothing wrong with that, as it remains at some 20 degrees Celsius to the touch, it also keeps the CPU cooled at ~43 degrees Celsius at idle and at ~55 degrees Celsius at max load (which is pretty impressive as the device runs a server 24/7 with a few other peripherals) As for the design, it couldn't have been any better... the metal and matte black plastic looks very professional and is able to fit in any room on any desk and stay unnoticed. If you do not plan to use the GPIO and other connectors I EXTREMELY recommend buying this case, it was most definitely worth the price.

Lovely case
Go a Pi in one of these for quite a long time now. The Pi seems happy and never played up so heat control seems sorted. It feels a quality item and fits well. I know there are cheaper cases but these are worth it in my opinion.

Stylish case with awesome passive cooling!
I bought this case for my Pi 3b as I wanted to try a case with passive cooling with no fan needed. This case really delivered above my expectations. My Pi is currently being used with RetroPie in my Arcade1up cab and in my previous plastic case with small add on heatsinks it was running at 75c, now in the Flirc case I'm only only hitting 54c! Over a 20 degree drop is very impressive and unexpected so I'm very happy with this case. It also looks great and is well built so I can highly recommend it!

Solid easy to put together case
I have been PI fan from the early days where some of the cases where not much more than a sandwich of perspex or cheap plastic. These FLIRC cases are very solid and feel more professional, so if you are happy to spend a bit more for that better quality feel I would recommend this case. The SD card access is OK and the case stays in position when everything is plugged in rather than sliding around after a few cables are plugged in. My only gripe is more PI related because I would like to see a proper reset/power switch implemented that could be easily presented to one of these cases.

Overclocking or just want that premium look to your Pi, this is the case for you!
A fabulous premium case for the raspberry pi. I used this one on my new pi 3b+ build and I also overclocked the board and found a nice decrease in overall temperatures due to the case itself being a heat sink. Quality product and cosmetically pleasing, definitely recommended. Just remember to use the thermal pad (also included and one for the pi2 and pi3, marked very clearly). Not the cheapest but well worth it in terms of looks and practical usefulness.

A case with excellent thermals
Thermals tested with a Raspberry pi 3B: Powered on, idle, no case - 48C Powered on, idle, FLIRC case - 38C Full load for 10 minutes, no case - 85C (thermal throttling limit) Full load for 10 minutes, FLIRC case - 57C In short: this is an excellent case if you need to keep a pi cool but don't want the added noise & maintenance of a fan.

Lovely littl 'PC' case
Very nice well made unit with nice metal finish, plastic top and bottom is smart finish but probably does reduce dissipation a little. Fits 3B+ perfectly. Just looses a star on cost as a relatively simple case, if rather smart. However with the connections to it the aesthetics are spoiled a little so would not use it for all my RPi's. - Would recommend if it meets your use case (ha ha).

PROs: (Basically everything...) 1. Excellent build quality and materials selection. No visible defects whatsoever. No sprue remnants, no split lines, nothing. Flawless. 2. Every bit as attractive IRL as in the published images - possibly more so. It's really the finest looking gadget-related accessory I've purchased in recent memory. 3. Very tight (in the sense of exact) dimensional tolerances. All port openings line-up perfectly with the ports on my test device. 4. Functionally, the case cools the CPU as advertised. One could only hope for additional heat-sinking of the other IC's, but it's not clear that it matters in my application. CONs: (Hard to cite any...) 1. Instructions concerning the installation of the heat-transfer pad were lacking. Not a big deal. There seems to be some confusion about whether or not to remove both the paper adhesive-patch cover AND the clear, thin adhesive-patch cover on the other side of the pad. FWIW, I removed both. I do not get the sense that it matters which side contacts the CPU and which side contacts the aluminum heat-sink. In fact, it may be acceptable only to remove the paper backing from one side of the conductive foam and to leave the very thin plastic on the other side, if future disassembly and access to the Pi are expected to be necessary. 2. Instructions on exactly how to pivot the Pi into place would have been helpful, given the precision fit. In my experience, it worked best to assemble the unit by (1) removing the SD card so that it does not protrude, (2) removing the backing from one side of the heat-conductive foam and adhering it to the CPU, followed by removal of the backing from the other side of the foam for mating with the top shell heat sink protrusion, (3) holding the metal case upside-down with USB port cut-outs to the right, lowering the farthest (connectorized) edge of the board into place, permitting the power, HDMI and audio connections to mate with the cut-outs in the aluminum case, (4) pivoting the board into its final position lowering the nearest edge gently onto the screw mounts, (5) placing the bottom plastic cover into place, (6) screwing the bottom shell, Pi and top shell together with the four included screws and finally (7) re-inserting the SD card. For me, attempting to insert the Pi3 by other strategy resulted in it binding into an incorrect position and almost refusing to yield for re-positioning. Alternative to my method might be the attachment of the conductive foam to the interior protrusion from the top aluminum cover, if preferred. I haven't tried it. Pleased with the thermal performance, ruggedness and aesthetics, I have purchased two of these cases so far, and I plan to purchase several more of them for use in my application.
