Pro: The black carbon filters this comes with are really good ones! They're washable, but be mindful of treating them right. I just wash them by hand with Dawn. Unfortunately a friend of mine actually put two of them through laundry machines. A clothes washer would be perfectly fine (by themselves), but I highly advise ***do not put in the dryer!*** They will shrink in circumstance and warp (loose their circular shape). When that happens they will no longer completely fill the face of the device and at least some (if not a great deal) of the air pulled by the fan will follow the path of least resistance - which is to go around the filter, not through it. Mix: Three speeds. 3 is certainly better than 1 (I have a cheap desktop USB-C air purifier that is only on/off (+'breathing' lights). However, this is also negative because this isn't the loudest but also isn't the quickest of devices. On low it is louder than a tower CPU fan. Set on high it moves a decent amount of air that is sufficient for cooking, soldering, wood scorching and etc related DIY crafts, but I certainly wouldn't call it quiet (especially seeing as one would likely be near this). Negative: It's perfectly fine this doesn't come with an adapter, and obviously it should be supplied with 5 Volts as it is USB, but this page should absolutely list the specific Amp requirements. Why? In my direct experience this device struggles on high. 1 Amp and it will keep trying in bursts to get up to speed but can't ever get there. 2 amp same if rapidly set to high from off, but if you graduate from off to 1 for a second or two then repeat at medium until it's at speed then a step up to high will get it to sustain a constant speed. It performs much better when supplied any higher amps. After having owned this, the tripod style stand is stable but really isn't so great when it comes to positioning it; wish it had an inverted T shape stand that telescopes in hight. The decibels and amps issues deduce 2 stars from me. For the price however, it is worth about the amount I paid, maybe a little less, certainly no more. There are better options on the market if these notes would be objectionable to other buyers. I would test an improved version tho!
