Practical Prosperity Magick: Crafting Success & Abundance (Ellen Dugan's Practical Magick, 2)

I love Dugan's work. This was the first book of hers I picked up. She has a wonderful mix of knowledge with easy reading that is hard to find.Her books are like cozy favorite slippers in their ease of consumption, but they have a painless truckload of knowledge to impart. Recommend for beginners absolutely, but I've been practicing for over 40 years and I got quite a lot out of each of her books as well.

I have been purchasing Ellen Dugan's books since they first began to appear, around ten years ago. I was on the waiting list for this book and read it quickly as soon as I got it.  Practical Prosperity Magick: Crafting Success & Abundance What has Ellen Dugan accomplished with this book that no other author on the subject has done so far? The answer may be partly found in the last chapter of page 13 ( which can be seen in the preview ) in which she states: " ... what mood and emotions you are bringing in ... in my hurry ... " She points out that many of us turn to magic as a last resort when we are desperate in a financial situation, and that desperation rarely brings good results. Obvious, yet let's look at what our attitude is with this type of thing.In another passage, she mentions a basic concept: believe in what you're doing. This is the one thing I needed to read from an author of these types of books. Most books on the subject include a disclaimer to the effect that buying a book on prosperity magic is not the thing to do if you're low on money ( Chris Penczak "The Witches Coin " ) or point out how not-so-flush-with-cash many occult practitioners have been through the ages, drawing the conclusion that this sort of thing does not necessarily work miracles ( Judicka Illes " The Element Encyclopedia of 5000 spells " )Simply, easy-to-follow and pretty quick to accomplish ( once you've got the materials ). She uses a " recipe " style for each working, where she lists the " ingredients " and some simple actions along with an okay-to-average rhyming incantation ( I wrote tons of poetry in high school, so yes I'm a bit nitpicky on the poetry, but whatever ). Most workings take less than 5 minutes to perform. The more people who perform them exactly, the more energy, the better they work.Take a moment to research the books in her bibliography ... Many of those books can be gleaned from looking into the " index " section of the " free preview " at Amazon. Some of the workings from these books and put into this volume, much of the information is written by experienced authors.I wanted to give this book five stars, and that was mostly because of the two small observations the author has made regarding attitude and belief.

I love Ellen Dugan so much! I have never learned so much from a book about practicing witchcraft. The writing style is easy to read and developed, so that it can work for beginners, intermediate, and advanced. This book is based on Hermes Trismegistus and the hermetic principles. It's practical magic at it's best. Ellen reminds me of someone from ancient times, as if has been a practicing witch on this earth for thousands of years.I did many of the spells throughout the book and they are highly powerful and effective! Prosperity is a state of mind, a feeling of total freedom, and this book makes it easy to get in touch with the prosperous, luxurious side of yourself. I could also tell that Ellen really did her homework. The information she gave on the hermetic principles were both well researched and astounding. She combines both the use of the physical world (practical) and the spiritual realm in a marriage of clear understanding.I am so glad that I purchased this book. It's a reminder for me to live my life by these principles, as both a witch and a human being. If you read this, thanks Ellen!

covers so much about prosperity magic. really easy to use and effective practical magick that yields results. but don't go thinking you can make a win the lottery spell and it will happen. that is just silly. But canceling debt, raising your credit score, recieving small amounts of unexpected money or items that relieve financial strain? yes indeed! even so much as having perfect health and clothes that never wear out or household supplies that never run out....all things that improve financial position. <3

I always enjoy every Ellen Dugan book I read! This one on prosperity covered all the bases- from being the boss to wanting to curse the boss, to dressing your home or yourself for success, to how psychic abilities factor in. Ellen has presented an entertaining and easy-to-read manual on living with prosperity in all of its aspects. I have to admit, 30% of the reason I read her books are just to read her enjoyable life stories! I hope to see another Practical Magick book down the line, once she is done with her fictional series.

As always, a great read from Ellen! I have just about bought every book she has written on the craft and love them all! This book is funny, helpful and chocked full of info! Anyone, well... like me, being a natural witch, I strive to read books that are fun yet informative! Your never too old to learn a new trick or two ! I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to add prosperity, in all aspects, into their life!

I own every book Ellen Dugan has written. Iam not a practicing witch but my books are dog-eared and thoroughly highlighted. They are funny, informative for all readers, full of facts about herbs, metals, planets, gems, crystals, times of the moon, hints for gardening, decorating, animals, fairies, spells, candles....you think it and you will find it in her books. Stop saying christians can't read her books....open your mind and enter this beautiful realm. Great buy.

Practical Prosperity Magick did hold my intention, I've not finished this book yet, there is a lot of info that either I already knew (as a pagan practitioner) yet this author is very focused on incorporating a high degree of being positive when working spell work. There are some interesting spells, this book is perfect for readers who are new to the craft as well as more seasoned practitioners mainly due to her emphasis on maintaining a positive attitude in life and spell work.

I was absolutely thrilled to be given the opportunity to read and review this book months in advance of its publication. Llewellyn sent me a copy and instantly I devoured it. I couldn't put it down and throughout the day my Mum would ask me; "What's new with the money magick book?".It quickly became an instant prosperity bible with its wealth of information and practical tips. Mum and I began applying those that felt important and felt relevant to us. Life certainly felt more abundant!From lucky cats known as the Maneki Neko, and the meanings of the variety of colours, to altars and prosperity magick dedicated to Lakshmi, right down the crystals, candles and manifesting know-how, this book offers you all you could ask for and more! Universal cosmic Ordering in book form - the book that keeps on giving!What I particularly loved about this book was the lesser known Goddesses of prosperity and abundance were introduced and discussed in depth, and Ellen gives you the practical steps, confidence and knowledge to get started on creating success and abundance instantly. I loved learning about the many different facets of prosperity magick, and loved reading the follow on to her Practical Protection. (Shhhh! She has another amazing book based on psychic abilities being applied practically coming next!!!).If you want to add something magickal to your money magick rituals, or even create an air of abundance and success in your life (c'mon, who doesn't!) then I strongly urge you to purchase your copy of this magick green money book. It's worth every penny!

I'm a huge Ellen Dugan fan and have recently bought this book - I'm 59 pages in. I know this sounds petty but the flimsy cover really lets Ellen and the book down. It's already unable to lie flat when the book is closed. None of my other books are like this. I do feel it's a cut corner too far. Ironic that it's on a book about prosperity! As a practising witch, I'm already using my own prosperity magick so I'm looking forward to raising energy with the new information contained within. Blessed be ⭐⭐⭐
