Excellent Composter!
I really like the way this composter went together. I am 5'1" and had no problems. The whole thing or several panels could be taken apart easily if you wanted to get a pitchfork in your pile or you wanted to move a lot of matter rather than a bit. The way the parts attach, taking this composter apart and putting it back together multiple times, should not weaken the structure. I have not had mine very long, so I can't speak to how well the plastic holds up in weather and sun, but it is nice and thick. Prudence lead me to put mine under a tree to avoid the sun issue, but because I've seen how this could go wrong, I put the composter on a large piece of thick plywood to prevent the tree's roots from growing up into my compost. If you don't want to do that, remember to move your bin once a year or so. You are exceptionally lucky if you have enough sunny, tree free land that you don't have to worry tree roots, but your land will still be really happy if you share the wealth and move your bin around. I find a compost crank really helps things break down quicker right in the bin without having to go so far as turning the pile. There's lots to like about this bin, and I expect to get another soon, and keep both for a good, long time!

Very strong materials, but...
...has a few design weaknesses: 1) The lids lock in the middle, but not on the edges. This leaves a space that rats can get into bin. I had to buy concrete blocks and put one on each corner to hold the lids down. They should make the lids wrap around the edge or put a lock on each corner also. 2) The rodent grate that comes with the 187 gallons is so-so. The connectors to hold the grate together are not long enough. They should use a bolt-washer-nut combination and then the grate will stay together. 3) The bin should be able to be locked into the base. I put dirt around the base to hold it in place. Hopefully material will stand up to the hot California sun. This bin is a lot better than other cheap ones I have had before, so I am hoping it lasts a long time. As others have noted, directions are in German, so have to rely on pictures to assemble.

My own Dalek!
Really liking it. Very sturdy and well made. Main part is very easy to assemble, just clipping it all together. Worst part is the rodent proof bottom/platform, kind of a pain to get put together correctly. Nice and big, we juice and have lots of pulp and clippings to put in plus dead leaves everywhere from forest. Does make me think of a Dalek from Doctor Who with no head or weapon. Only time will tell how well it actually composts. Will try to report back in 6 or 8 weeks.

arrived without the fasteners
It looks like it would work. But it arrived without any of the fastening pieces. (The items labeled G and H in the instructions.) Have contacted the manufacturer. Hoping Aero Quick will come through and send them.

Good and Solid
It's a large, easy to assemble bin. The material is thick and the assembly seems solid. Takes 5 mins to assemble. Will update once we have some compost produced.

Great compost bin with large capacity and sturdy contruction
Sturdy, and large enough to use without filling it before composting begins. We've had others that were flimsy, or just too small to be useful for our yard and household compostables. A few days after setting the Juwel up, we had severe storms roll through, with very high winds. Even though there was very little in the bin, it stayed in place, even though our other brand bin ended up in woods. I expect the Juwel to last many years, and produce lots of compost for our gardens and raised beds. I'm glad I did a bunch of research before deciding on a new compost bin. This one is living up to the reviews I had seen. Update: It's now July, 2020, and even after a move to another address, the composter is holding up great after several years. There are no signs of the polymer breaking down. I'm guessing it has probably faded slightly from the sun, but not enough to be noticed unless you really pay attention to the color of the outside compared to the inside surfaces. I'm still very happy with the compost bin.

Destroyed by bear within a month
Can just be tipped over and compost dumps out everywhere.

Worth the extra money because it will last.
Very impressed with the design right out of the box. Setup was easy and required no tools. Very solid when assembled, thick sidewalls and lid, no metal parts to rust. If need be it could be disassembled quickly and easily. I like the tapered shape as settling within the bin creates better air flow and prevents excess pressure on the side walls, not that they couldn't take it. Best no maintenance no turn bin around in my opinion. As long as the plastic holds up to the elements I would expect decades of great pest free composting.
