Good wicking tip
I like this tip as it has the thermal mass to be able to draw solder into wick without the wick sticking where not enough heat is being applied. I use it with an FX-951 with an FM2032 attachment which allows for very detailed microsoldering. When an SMD component needs to be removed, and there is a large pad that needs to be wicked, this T15-D16 is ideal. Obviously every situation is different.

OK but could be better
I was hoping for the tip to be more defined. It looks like it is almost conical. The edge isn't sharp. I can't get good heating area of a SMD component and the PCB at the same time. It works but would be better if it was sharper.

Perfect size for through hole soldering
I have 4 or 5 sizes of these chisel soldering tips and this is my favorite tip for normal through hole pins. For larger holes or holes attached to large ground planes then a larger tip is better for more heat transfer. But for 90% of my work this is perfect.

Original Hakko. These perform the best and last the longest. Knock offs will just fail faster and be more inconsistent.
