When i originally saw these episodes i thought this would be the end of the 3rd season S saga. But turns out there were still a few episodes left. In this volume we find out that Serena is not the Holy Messiah that will save the world from destruction as she is unable to sustain the power of the Holy Grail 100% when she comes into contact with it. The identities of the outer scouts are revealed for Uranus and Neptune and a secret scout appears that made an appearance back in season 2 which is Pluto. The identities of the holders to the Talisman are revealed. In this volume it's also revealed that there is a 9th sailor scout. But Sailor Saturn doesn't appear till the end of the 3rd season. Overall this is a great series and compared to some of the anime titles released today this series is 100 times better then what we currently see in the anime realm. Of course season 3 is my favorite season out of all 5 season because the story was amazing and it just kept you hooked. I do like that the 3rd & 4th seasons of Sailor Moon stuck really close to the Japanese scripts and only certain wording was changed. That is a great thing that the American version was kept so close to the original. One thing that made this series stand out was the English dubbed version which was having fun with the script, things were changed around, and it also had a lot of comedy and humor involved with the lines that were being said from the cast. That isn't so relevant in season 3 & 4 as they kept pretty close to the original script. So the lack of 5 stars is from the fact that the American version lacked a bit of creativity and originality that was there for the first 2 seasons. Also of course i was so disappointed that the original voice cast for Serena did not return for the dubbing of Serena. The new voice actress for Serena is down right awful. Amy & Venus is also changed. Sailor Pluto's dubbing was a bit annoying at times as well. I also missed the American music. The music was not changed for this release and so the music actually sounds very low at certain times because of the English dubbing that takes precedence. The Japanese music worked so well with the Japanese audio but not with the English cast. So i was a bit disappointed there was no change involved in that department. Overall this is my fave season and any fan should pick this up even though the DVDs have been discontinued.

Chaos of Light and Darkness113: A House Full of Evil Presence! The Secret of the Beautiful Girl, Hotaru114: Crazy for Celebrities! Mimet, in DoubtThe Inner and Outer Senshi finally find out each other's identities when Minako gets her Pure Heart taken. Unfortunately, Eudial is present and discovers the identities of Sailor Moon, Neptune, and Uranus. She then uses this to her advantage to blackmail the two Outer Senshi into coming to a remote cathedral in the middle of the ocean*. The Inner Senshi follow them here, as well as the mysterious Setsuna Meioh. After a series of occurrences, the long sought after talismans make their appearance, which in turn summons the Holy Grail. Eudial is put out of the game as Sailor Moon becomes Super Sailor Moon with the power of the Grail. While this bodes well for the Senshi, the Witches 5 simply send out their next witch, Mimet. Unfortunately, Mimet is an idol chasing bimbo who bungles most of her missions. However, Professor Tomoe need not worry, because the presence of the Holy Grail has caught the attention of the previously dormant Messiah of Silence.Now, when I purchased this, I had no idea there was a difference between the Geneon versions and the Pioneer Heart Collections. The Heart Collections feature reversible cover, discs with art stamped across the front, and an insert that lists each episode. The Geneon versions have the large red Geneon logo across the top, a plain red disc, different colored subtitles than the Heart Collections (one is in yellow, one is in white; both are easily readable), no insert, and the cover art is not reversible; rather, whatever the art is for one set of episodes (in the case of the American VHS, the episodes that were on the uncut "The Search for the Savior" tape) is what the art is for the cover. In terms of the actual disc, they are exactly the same. If you're like me and you like having the reversible covers and a generally more appealing art, I would buy the Heart Collection.*An interesting thing I noticed, although I don't know if it was intentional. The name of this location in the anime is the Marine Cathedral, which is also the name of Michiru's Stradivarius in the manga.
