It will be sitting on a receiver with a few other items in an enclosed cabinet/glass door?** A: I have mine with only about two inches of top clearance, and there is plenty of open space to the front and the rear of the cabinet. It keeps the receiver plenty cool even when running at higher power levels of audio. I have a 17" model that only has a half inch of top clearance, but it intakes from the front and exhausts to the rear. It keeps my 1973 Pioneer CD-4 Quadraphonic receiver very cool...and it's quiet too! Get the proper model, and they will cool almost any electronic equipment. **Q: My amp's vents are at the bottom, not the top. Which model do i buy that I can put under / underneath my amp?** A: There is one blowing upwards... **Q: I am planning to buy and use in the uk. i read your message on requiring a power adaptor. is that just a uk power cable/adoptor change or more?** A: Works perfect two minutes to install sets right on top of your amp no problem **Q: Anyone know when to use rear vs top exhaust? I plan on using for a receiver in a cabinet. The cab has about a 2 inch hole in back.** A: 2" does not seem to be large enough to dissipate much heat. I built my cabinet with a top shelf close to the top of the receiver. There is a 6" hole in the shelf directly above the fan and heat is dissipated into the large space above and eventually out towards the front. If there is a lot of space above your receiver, this fan will work efficiently, providing the cabinet is not enclosed. Good delivery, followup and Customer Service. The product AC Infinity S7 is an excellent device perfect for my requirement to join the 4 x S5 fans from AC Infinity to cool my beastly Denon AVC-X8500h despite the Denon having 4 internal fans in the monolithic amp section. I customised the fans based on the internals of Denon X8500h. Yes, It is bit if an overkill. I prefer to pamper and treat my quality electronics like any living thing. All AC infinity products i have purchased so far have fantastic build quality, beautiful minimalistic appearance and solid functioning so far. The S7 came with a charger with AC input voltage rating 100-240v which means there is no issue using it in India. Satisfied with everything so far. Can not comment on the longevity yet. However, i am confident that the fans will last for years to come judging by the build quality. Update: The Fans have been running nonstop these past 2.5 years without issues except for the charger that went kaput after 18 months of nonstop use.
