Upgrade worth it!
My Whoop has been a game-changer for my health, performance, and overall lifestyle. I am a trainer and work at a bar so late nights and early mornings are unavoidable sometimes days. My whoop has made a huge difference in how I pay attention to my sleep and recovery. I started with whoop almost a year ago and loved it. Was super excited about this new band and haven’t been disappointed. The new insights and tools this band provide are amazing and with the 14 day battery life I would say this upgrade is completely worth it.Knowing when to push harder or when to prioritize rest has been massive for me. And most wearables I never trusted but with whoop I would say we are on the same page 90% of the time. The daily strain and recovery metrics keep me on track with my goals, and the sleep tracking has significantly improved my quality of rest / knowing when I need to program in a nap.Whoop has helped me unlock a more intentional, optimized, and balanced version of myself. The accountability it brings is unmatched, and the long-term trends it provides have been key to sustaining high performance without burnout!

Complete failure of a fitness device
For a device that is supposed to be specialized and premium for fitness enthusiasts …I was wildly underwhelmed. I was a former Apple Watch user before giving whoop a shot.Pairing with cardio equipment: almost all gyms now have GymKit and you can just tap your apple watch to pair instantly. The whoop doesn’t have that but what was even more disappointing was that the cardio equipment often failed to find the whoop as a heart monitor. If it did find it, most of the time it would disconnect after an only a minute. Even worse, this “premium” device is not able to track any of your stationary cardio activity with accuracy. On a run the treadmill was showing 3x the distance ran versus the whoop. The experience with the straps and the locking mechanism is sometimes difficult. Sure the battery life is 2 weeks…but for $35 a month forever this thing better be good. But it’s really just trash.

So far, so good!
Ordered on May 08 and received on May 09. Setup went flawlessly and I've been wearing continuously, received my first Healthspan Update this morning and looking forward to the weekly (Sunday) updates. I'm a new Whoop user so no preconceptions, still using my Apple Watch 9 and 10 and sending their data to Whoop. Previously used Fitbit since 2012 thru 2024, mostly for steps, walking, and general health data. So for my uses Whoop replaces Fitbit, Apple Watch is in a category of its own. I'm not pleased with a replacement Whoop strap I bought but that's for a separate review of the strap. Otherwise finding my Whoop 5.0 MG useful and the so far limited data results interesting. My understanding is full utility will come after 90 wears, or by my calculations not until four months of use say September first 2025 (Labor Day Monday in the USA this year). I plan or reporting more after then unless I run into a problem sooner.Konrad.

Upgraded from Oura and Apple Watch Ultra
It did not arrive on time from Amazon due to shipping delay. Purchased it else where and feel that this is definitely an upgrade from Oura Gen4 and Apple Watch Ultra. The ease of wearing, battery charge lasting over 12 days on a single charge and most importantly the data that is provided on an excellent app makes this an invaluable device. Granted that the subscription is a bit on the high side, but we don’t have to buy the hardware like the other platforms. The small upgrade fee (when the next one is launched) is not much of an issue.

Disappointing Customer Service and Unethical Practices
Thinking of switching from WHOOP 4.0 to 5.0? Don’t. The so-called “free upgrade” is a trap. The moment you try to return, update, or manage your account, WHOOP shows its true face: a company built on confusion, hidden charges, and a broken support system.Customer service is a black hole — canned responses, no resolution, and endless back-and-forth. You’ll waste hours, if not weeks, trying to fix simple issues while they quietly keep charging you.New to WHOOP? Don’t even start. There are far better fitness trackers out there — cheaper, clearer, and with actual customer support.Already on 4.0? Don’t upgrade. In fact, consider letting your subscription expire. Walking away from WHOOP is the best upgrade you’ll ever make. It’ll save you money, time, and the headache of dealing with one of the most anti-consumer companies in the wellness space.

Whoop MG is a must!
Whoop mg is great so far, recognized subscription immediately & it’s tracking heart rate much better for me than the 4.0 so far, very happy!

Not what it's made out to be.
I finally bought one of these things because of all the hype and fell for it. I've used an apple watch for years and wanted to try something new but everything this offers is probably just going to be applied as an update on current apple watch models. I do high intensity workouts and run a few miles daily and this thing is counting calories as if I were working out for 3 hours. These products aren't meant to be precise but it's telling me I'm burning almost 600 calories more than what I did with my apple watch and even that device isn't accurate. Anyways I'm sure Whoop 6.0 will have a screen on the thing, and they'll slowly implement small features with every version in order to keep selling these devices. Great marketing but lackluster product.
