My only reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that the solar panel could be a bit more sensitive, it needs direct sunlight for optimal performance. On overcast days, the runtime is noticeably shorter, even if I top it up with USB charging. Still, this is a great value for the quality and performance. These lights are very nice--bright and sturdy; well-made. Five stars for quality. Only four stars given because they do not come with a remote like some other brands do. Nevertheless, they are a good choice if you happen to snag some on sale and the on/off button is easily accessible for you where you hang them. We placed them on the railing of our backdoor stairs and in grandchildren's treehouse. Perfect! Love the USB function for alternative charging; will be able to use them thru all seasons. Happy with purchase.
