Chefman Single Serve Coffee Maker, Works with K-Cup & Grounds

Update 3/20. Chefman customer service is sending me a replacement product. This WAS a fantastic coffee brewer, but after less than 2 months of ownership the low water sensor is malfunctioning. The design is just so sophisticated, and the coffee is really good too. It brews very quickly and efficiently, very intuitive controls as well. I’ve brewed dozens of cups of my own ground coffee and a couple kcups and it does a fine job at both. The adjustable lift for the coffee mug or tumbler is very clever and really does help cut down on splatter. Just a word of caution if you don’t read instructions, make sure you press a kcup down first to puncture the bottom before you close the lid. Someone who posted pictures didn’t do this and you can see the mess it will make. Easy cleanup as well.

Got it on sale and really glad I did! Works great so far. Very easy to use. I never have been able to use the “favorites” function on other machines but this one is super easy. I really love the Piping Hot function and it makes a great cup of coffee. My favorite function of this machine is the plate the your cup sits on can move to any position you want. There’s no set spot you have to choose from like other machines. So any size coffee cup can be used (except extra tall travel mugs). Yes it adds the great smell of coffee and holds plenty of water. Coffee doesn’t get everywhere or inside the holder or your cup. Only thing is that it is long but I have an empty corner on my counter and it fits perfectly. Also would have fit perfectly not having it cornered. Cord can be wrapped under the machine.

This coffee maker is pretty good. Looks great, slim build, so it doesn’t take up a lot of space., Only issue I have is that periodically when I press start to brew, it doesn’t brew. I have to unplug the machine and re plug it for it to work. Not sure if this is an issue with the machine or if I’m doing something wrong..

I don’t normally share reviews but I’m so disappointed in this coffee maker. When I opened the maker 1 week ago I loved it, perfect size, quick to make your drink, can select size, strength & temp!!!! I noticed 4 days in the top where you put the coffee pod was getting hard to open & close. This morning 1 week after receiving the coffee maker the top jammed and literally would not open. I tried everything, unplugged trying to reset the machine, tried prying it open nothing worked with exception of spring & screw coming out of top. I’m calling the manufacturer tomorrow and hope they make it right. It was a significant amount of money that I can’t afford to lose after just 1 week of use.

Great machine, seems solid, and I trust the Chefman name and own other Chefman products. My main criticism on this unit would be that it is just too long. It looks very nice, but also slightly awkward on the countertop as it is so long and sticks out so far from your other appliances. The very thick cord adds to this; the unit is 14" front to back and won't go right up to your wall because of the cord. This might be a dealbreaker, I'm still on the fence. The water reservoir could be on the side to remedy this, or made user-movable; this is a very common feature on similar brewers unless they're more compact or have a water reservoir that hugs the back more to make a more compact footprint. The interface controls are a little tightly spaced, spacing things out more would make the controls less awkward. It's easy to press the screen selection above or below the one you're aiming for at times. I like that this is just a single serve coffee maker, for those of us that would never brew a whole pot. It brews ground coffee or Kcups equally well. The design and look are very nice.

I have purchased this coffee maker 7-8 times, each time returning for defects. Something goes wrong where water fills the area around the pod then spills out. It happens every time. The reasons I keep buying it are the temp controls (extra hot) and the appearance. I think this is a great design and love the temp controls, but somebody goofed in the design to where it crashes during the coffee making process. I really wish it wouldn't happen because I definitely like this coffee maker and would like to keep it!

It’s modern - slim - pretty in both colors and all of the functions work well. Plastic design however the water tank illuminates blue - great look. We enjoy the light back light is white on the one at home. Wish there was an on and off switch - it does offer idle. My daughter purchase a high end coffee maker and left it box / returned it to the store bc she likes this one so very much. I have not sought a filter as of yet. Yes. We would buy again.

ONE MONTH AND ITS BROKEN Good and bad. I'm a man with a full time job. The coffee maker makes a fairly good cup, warm not hot, and faster than most. My experience. The good. Makes a good cup of coffee. Now the bad. Water reservoir is very small. After 2 12oz cups it has to be refilled. Put the coffee into the machine, and yes I push the coffee into the needle in the bottom first, the machine leaks water around the coffee and the cup ends up slightly smashed. The lights come on and I select what I want. Hot and piping hot is no different. Push the brew button. Right below on the same button is the clean on the same button. You have to push the brew button on the top half of the button. Not hard if your finger is the diameter of a pencil. The whole button is the size of a dime. Hit the wrong side it starts the clean cycle. Sometimes it just sits there. For the money you'd be better off buying something else. I don't know how long it will last, it's not well made, but I feel it won't be working by the end of the year. It’s been one month and we are not happy with this machine. It does not put out 12 full ounces. Lights are not illuminated and even though it’s been cleaned we keep getting the clean button coming on randomly. I was going to return it but missed the return by date by one day. I will not order again.

10 out of 10!!!! This is THE BEST K Cup coffee maker I have found. Compared to the versions from Keurig and Cuisinart, the Chefman is FAR superior delivering a fantastic experience, gorgeous aesthetic and HOT COFFEE. Just on the hot setting alone it is 14 degrees hotter than the other brands and they even offer a piping hot level!! I can't say enough about the product. GREAT quality and very stylish. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!!! Thank you for letting me enjoy hot coffee again!!!
