Go with Amazon’s recommendation for size.
Love the lightweight material. Comfortable, cool, great looking.Fit is perfect but not because I picked it but because I went with what Amazon recommended. I am 34w 34 inseam and I usually have to get XL in Nike and UA workout pants just to get them long enough. I decided to get the L when the message came up recommending it. I am glad I did because they are perfect.

Hammer Time Grandpa Pants
I normally wear a 2XL, Amazon prompted that I get the 3XL. It fits my calves and thighs ok, perhaps a little loose. The crotch is midthigh. The whole combination reminds me of the baggy pants of the early '90s.The color comes in more of a British khaki than the green-grey that I expected. Meh.
