Excellent art lens
The quality of the construction of the Lensbaby Sol 45 is top notch. The lens produces a sharp central focus with softness to the edges and the sharp focus can be shifted around within the frame. I used it on my Canon R8 and the test shots were excellent resolution of the effect noted. I decided to explore Lensbaby by buying a cheap offering to check them out and I am exceedingly pleased. Now I want more Lensbaby lenses.

Create Dreamy Photos With Ease
I am using this lens on my Canon t3i and liking the results. I own many Lensbaby lenses, but love this one for ease of use. It's an all in one tilt shift 45mm EF lens--so the look you get will vary depending on whether your camera is crop sensor (like mine) or full frame. The aperture is fixed, so you don't have to worry about messing around with finding the perfect f-stop. You just put it on your camera and tilt the lens at you subject and focus and take your shot. You can also be used more like a prime lens if you don't tilt it. Mine works fine by setting the camera to Aperture Priority Mode, but you can also use Manual Mode. Just a reminder, if you're new to Lensbaby, they are manual lenses, which means that it doesn't autofocus. I, however, coming from an old 35 mm film camera background don't have an issue with this. A little tilt goes a long way, so be careful. Focusing is also a little easier in live mode, but that doesn't work well if you are shooting in bright light. If you're not sure your image is properly focuses Lensbaby recommends bracketing your focus to get it just right. It's a great value for the money, so if you haven't had a Lensbaby before this is a good lens to start off with. They also make them with a variety of other mounts for different camera brands.

Okay, but not special
I did not find the lens to be so special as to warrant the money, and it would not allow me to take a shot when mounted on my Canon RP, even though other EF lenses are fine with the adaptor I have. I was able to use it on my T2i and SL2, but I just felt it did not give me the artistic options I was looking for. I could pretty much duplicate anything by using my editing software, so I returned the lens.

Fun photo toy - easiest to use of the Lens Babies
With nothing but tilt and focus control (aperture is fixed at f/3.5), this lens is the easiest of the Lens Babies to use and control. I got pleasing results immediately. The lens is threaded so that I can use it with my infrared filters. The downside to the simplicity, of course, is that with the fixed aperture there is no way to change the size of the sweet spot. I am a Lens Baby addict and would definitely recommend this lens to a Lens Baby rookie.

Embrace the Blur
This is a nice little lens. I’m using it primarily for portrait photos. It produces a wonderful ‘blur’ effect surrounding my subjects. Lensbaby lens are all so cool. Embrace the blur.

Fun Creative Lens
It is nice as a photographer to try different and new ideas and this lens provides a challenge and it is actually a lot of fun to use. It is not to replace your trusted lenses but as a means to look thru the lens creatively, not necessarily see things as having to be tack sharp.

Caro y de mala calidad
Me ha durado 2 meses y se ha roto. No entiendo como un producto metálico es tan endeble. 200 euros tirados a la basura.Resulta que los elementos internos esta pegados de mala manera, ni siquiera están soldados.
