IT WORKED!
My spa light is old and recently, the screw thread holder broke in half leaving my light floating in the center of my spa. There were two metal pieces coming out of the plaster, on each side of the broken screw hole. I was not sure how I was going to fix this. This product states that it works for most/all pool lights. Well folks, it worked for my old, outdated light. I DRAINED HALF THE WATER OUT OF THE SPA. The part wedged in between the two metal pieces and used the partially brokend screw hole as an achor to grab onto. I placed the screw through the light hole, screw the black plastic piece onto the screw but not very far in. You want some room to set it in place and still have room for your fingers to hold the light. Place the curved side facing thelight, set the bottom hook in place, wedged plastic piece in between metal bars, kept pressure between plastic piece in place and light screw, and slowly tightened screw. Light got closer to plaster until tight. I kicked it to be sure it caught. I filled the spa back up and back in business. Thank you for making such a simple solution!

Fixed a broken pool light mounting bracket
I had to cut the bolt to my pool light off in order to remove the pool light fixture from the pool wall. Since I was unable to drill out the remaining bolt without draining my pool, I purchased this device and it worked almost perfectly. The rubber back slides between the rear of the light hole and the frame the original bolt secured to. Once tightened, it clamps the top of the light frame securely to the internal frame. It took a lot of work but my light is securely in place.

What a miracle device
The screw holder in my pool light nitch had broken at some point so the light wouldn't stay put. I called over 12 different companies to fix this but because its a fiberglass pool no one would do it. This forced me to find away. Researching on Amazon I found this and it works!!! It was easy to install. We've been swimming and it hasn't fallen out. This saved me hundreds of dollars or more.

Worked perfectly to fix my stripped threads of original
My screw had stripped out on my pool housing. This allowed me to wedge behind the light and it worked flawlessly. I've used this on both the traditional 120v thick lights and also the newer 12v LED thin lights. It worked in both applications. The really nice thing is you can offset the light a little to leave a little gap where water can get behind it - a good thing so chlorinated water can get back there to prevent the start of algae outbreaks.

A solution to a perplexing problem.
Putting the pool light in when opening the pool has always been a challenge. At least for me. Getting that screw that holds the light ring into that hang-down thing is always a challenge. This year the hang down thing broke away. Now what? This little, inexpensive wedge went in easily and the light was far easier to get into place than with the original scheme. Some people have complained it only lasts one season. So what? One season is fine by me. I will buy a new one every year if that is what it takes. This is nothing compared to what I spend on chemicals for water treatment, electricity for pumping and gas for heating.

Worked perfectly as described
Such a simple little thing to solve a devil of a problem. I was replacing my 5-year-old Pentair incandescent pool lights with Hayward Colorlogic 4.0 LED lights. One of the lights had a very stubborn screw. It ended up breaking under the strain to remove it and it broke in a place that couldn't be clamped onto with a vice grip. I thought about buying a pneumatic drill to drill out the screw and re-tap the hole and install the new light with a larger screw, but then I happened upon this very affordable part and thought I'd give it a try first. To my amazement, it worked perfectly. So easy and fast and worked with the new, thinner LED fixture too. I'm very happy.

Doesn't fit all lights...
You need either your light niche or niche holder to have a sloped to the rear surface...my 1990's American Products Spa Brite had parallel surfaces on both, and thus no place for this wedge to get wedged between those surfaces to secure the light. Otherwise, this looks like a fine product to repair a broken tab.
